I too have failed my band...
Pre-Surgery Weight = 321
Surgery Day Weight = 310
Date 05/26/05
Lowest weight = 221
Today's Weight = 255
And it's my own fault that I haven't lost more. In June I planned to pay for a year of fills AGAIN (if they still offer the special deal) and hope that it works this time...
4 years out and 66lbs down.. not enough

I've not been a very active member since I joined.. We are moving into our own house this weekend so I should be able to join in more once we get settled.. Hopefully I'll be able to start losing again when I'm no longer living in someone elses basement...
Still no change in weight.. major plateau
-
I notice mine alot too.. Have since the beginning.. weird
-
The only problem I've ran into with drinking with or shortly after eating is that it makes me too full and I PB...

My life is just in too much turmoil right now.. So I'll have to pass on the challenges.. it's enough of a challenge to weigh in every week (which I havn't been doing...)
-
I'm on the Yahoo group.. it's dead too just like this forum.. very sad
-
There is a yahoo group called KCBandsters that you might want to check into. I just moved from KC to Utah so I'm not in Kansas anymore
-
The band is awesome.. I've lost 60lbs in the year I've been banded and I don't have to worry about it coming back..

SOrry.. life got in the way of this.. so I've dropped out :think

I think I'm going to post a daily thread and see if we can get this forum active... don't know how many Utah Bandsters we have here.. but it can't hurt to try.
Right now I'm on a plateau.. life is full of stress right now and that leads to bad food choices (of course of stuff that goes right through the band) Once we get truly settled here in Utah things will be easier (we just moved here from Kansas City - coming home to be near family)

C 250 (-60lbs total, no change this week)

I have a denim skirt that is a size 16. I wore it many many years ago. At that time I weighed 190 so that has been my goal weight from the very beginning. Once I get into that skirt I'll evaluate the idea of a new goal weight
-
c = 250 no loss this week (life is in transition right now so don't know that I expect much loss)
I plan to participate in the challenge but won't be able to post my stats for the first week of may as I won't have internet access. So if it's alright I'll keep track and post an update ASAP

I'm 11 months out... 1 yr bandiversary May 26th.
So far I've lost 60lbs which puts me about 1/2 way to my original goal (we'll see how I feel once I get there) I'm very pleased with my weight loss so far.
I'm not currently exercising and since I'm in the process of selling my house and moving I probably won't start until I get settled in to the new house (hopefully in a few months)
I can eat most foods but sometimes bread is a real problem. Cookies go down way to easy and I'm fighting the sweet tooth demon this month. Too much stress I guess...
I have about 2cc in my 4cc band.

Yesterday I was holding my great-nephew (25lbs) and my baby wanted me to hold her as well (another 25lbs).. They were SOOOOO heavy.. and I've lost 10lbs more than that (60lbs so far) and I just can't imagine how I got through the day.. I could only hold the two of them for a few seconds before I had to give one of them to my sister.

I'm in Utah now.. and there is a bandster support group on yahoo.. but it's not very active. They do have a monthly dinner get together ...
-
Well I emailed Dr. Hansen and explained the situation and he responded and told me they would be happy to take over my care. He suggested that I have my records faxed to the office and then we'll go from there
-
Well the message at the top of the board tells me I should get more involved LOL
I was banded in May 2005 and have been fairly conservative with fills. So far I've lost 60lbs and I'm thrilled. I'm in the process of moving from Kansas City to Utah.. we've got our stuff moved to storage and we are living with family.. now we just have to get our house sold.
H 321 / S 310 / J 250 / G 190 / C 250 (-60)
(I hope I did that right...)

Thanks for all the suggestions.. We are moving this weekend. At this time I'm ok with my fill level but would like to have a Dr available for complications or future fills.. I'll try to get a referral from my surgeon here.

I grew up in Utah and I'm now moving back home. I've been in Kansas/Missouri for quite a while now but ready to get back to Utah.
I was banded in May 2005. I will need to find a local fill/band Dr. once I get to town...
Just wanted to say hi!!
Fills done by patient at home

Now see I don't see why this is so far fetched of an idea... people HAVE to preform medical things on themselves all the time...
diabetics inject insuln
fertility patients inject all kinds of drug (been there done that)
people with bladder problems cath themselves (we have to start doing this with my 5 YEAR OLD daughter and this seems much harder than inject saline into my band port which is very easy to find)
people give themselves b-12 shots
my one son had a Nasal feeding tube that I had to insert and make sure it made it into his stomach AND NOT HIS LUNG.....
clearly not as stupid as some of you are saying...
have I done it... No... would I ... yes.. don't know why I didn't think of it before....
