Go for post op check up tomorrow. everything seems great. I know I fell better than I have in years..
well I did it. The dr got in and said that he had to do the sleeve due to my intestines being short to reach. Still kind of loopy but getting stronger staying hydrated is a chore and sore but other than that all seems well. Thanks for the encouragement!
I go in Oct 7, for my surgery. Getting the Gastric by pass. Started this ride in Jan and now finally the procedure. I have been experiencing a little anxiety as I get closer to the day but this is what I've been waiting for.
It gets better everyday. In a few months you'll be feeling even better! Welcome to the tribe! -
that can be dangerous........
Just some friendly advice... never ever trust a fart!!!

Well I'm almost 5 days out and doing great only spent one night in the Hospital, they said I was doing everything right so they let me go home! The first day after I had absolutely no pain. The second day I started experiencing soreness at the incisions I took the pain med twice then I tried Tylenol two times and I am taking nothing now. Weighed this morning and down 10lbs since surgery and when I'm up and around feeling good. The hardest problem I've had is staying up with is the hydration, sometimes it takes me into the evening to get but I will not fail on that item. It seems that smell and tastes are really strong and I have lots of gas moving around in my belly and chest but I seem to deal with that by moving around and walking. So far I've been pulled off my sugar meds and testing to see if I need to take them the same with my blood pressure meds my post op is on Thursday and I will know more.
Dub Tall guys with long torso are the one's with shorter intestines .......LOL

Maybe its the view.lol
Dub, good luck with your surgery. I think we tall guys do fine --- I notice even after 100# down I am still tall....
The over 6' crew is represented.
Best of luck to you. The anxiety is sure understandable.
I can remember being highly anxious during prior surgeries when getting stuff repaired....hernias, ankle, etc. I'll be following a week behind you on the wls. A little bit nervous now, too.
That's great progress @VLD
