  1. Sometimes it's hard to not get down on myself for not losing enough weight this week, not meeting my mini-goal by the end of the year, not liking what I see in the mirror, etc... but I just have to keep reminding myself that I've lost over 130 pounds... and that's a significant achievement!

You and a gaggle of others have chosen today to complain about your rate of loss. You're just the crop of the day. Where do you all get your "should" and "not enough" numbers? Example: A pound a day in the first weeks isn't good enough. Y'all have a choice to make: Either demand full refunds from the surgeons or adjust your goals to "I want to lose weight," period. Reality check. If you don't believe that losing 130 lbs really is significant, think of Cher in "Moonstruck," "PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!!" You're terrific and you'd be so much happier if you believed it. (Yes, I'm giving it you for all your brethren. Now have a good new year.)

I said in my status that losing 130 pounds is a significant achievement. I was trying to pat myself on the back for it, despite how some days it's hard to not get down on myself because I wanted it to be more. I'm 15 months out. But thanks, anyway :)

Yes, I read that, but it didn't ring with confidence. I'm saddened that you put all your focus on one point...half of it, actually. Best wishes to you as you continue on.
