Hi Everyone I'm soooooo excited, I got my surgery day two days ago . I will be getting banded December 11th. I am looking for everyone that will be getting banded in december...... Its been a long time coming but I'm excited.

Thanks Everyone, I actually contacted another office that my surgeon works out of and they called the office I was working with and transferred all of my information over to where they are. I got a surgery date for December 11th and my pre-op appointment is Dec 4th. Im sooo excited. I learned a lot from all of you and glad that I didn't give up.

I was approve last week for surgery but for some reason Im not excited. I guess its because the office Im working with is so unprofessional. I love the surgeon but his receptionist and insurance coordinator don't do their jobs and its ridiculous. If I don't hear from them this week Im switching offices.

Has anyone had a problem with their surgeons office and switched to another one after approval?

I agree that it can get the best of you. I hadn't even gotten my approval yet and I'm was scared because I didnt want to make the decision to do something in which I may never wake up from but I've heard so many success story's. I also met someone at a baby shower two weeks ago and she happen to be talking to me about and suddenly she came out and said that she had gotten the band and how she had it fore two years and it was the best decision of her life. She looks fantastic and she was so proud of her decision and for me that was a sign from God that everything would be ok. I hope this has helped you in some way.

How long did it take to receive approval from insurance company for your band? I have BCBSIL PPO+. If anyone has that insurance and can help me get info that would be great

Which plan do you have? What surgeon are you using? The reason I ask is because I was told the same thing and ended up going to a differ physician and finding out my insurance did cover it. If the dietician isn't in network that is the reason why.
