  1. It is good that you're committing to staying on target for your diet, but the other thing to remember is that you're not expected to be 100% perfect 100% of the time.

We all got to the point of needing bariatric surgery because we had serious issues with food. The surgery isn't going to magically solve all of the problems - the reasons we crave crummy food, the compulsion to binge, the head hunger - the only thing it helps control is portion sizes. Losing weight and keeping it off is still going to be hard work.

Eating a few bad things every once in a while isn't going to ruin what you're working towards, but getting super negative and down on yourself isn't the answer. You're human, you'll make mistakes, and that doesn't mean you're a bad person.

So don't feel too harsh towards yourself, rather, use this feeling as a "I'm better than this, and I'm super psyched to get back on track!"

And stalls are gonna happen, so don't think it is always something you did - your body will lose at the pace it decides. And sometimes that will be S-L-O-W as a turtle. You just keep going, keep motivated and positive, and you'll get there! ;)

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

    Why wait till Monday?!

So true. And I did much better today.

  2. I am so disappointed with myself. I feel like I haven't given this my all. I've eaten carbs and sugars. Not every day of course but I still have them. I hate that I have had them. I really need to reset my mind and my pouch. I'm only gonna be 4 months out which makes me feel even worse. I've been the same weight for 2 weeks now. So I am officially resetting my mind effective Monday when I return to work. I will go back to Protein Shakes and liquids all week. I've got to get this scale moving before my 4 month check up on Jan 4.

  3. Oh my I forgot to mention that we went to belk and saw a black Michael Kors dress and my husband and daughter insisted on me to try it on. I tried the large one and it fit!!! Oh my I was so excited. I didn't get it cause I refuse to pay $120 for a dress. Well my daughter found the same dress at Macy and she got it for $49 on sale so she bought it for me for Christmas!! I will be posting some pictures for New Years, that's when I plan to wear it????????????

That's so awesome! I'm finally back to a gym routine. I've made it every night this week. I feel good. Hoping to have a good bm in the next day or so. I've been doing the BOT and let's just say nothing is moving. Hell I'm probably 199 and don't know it cause I can't go lol.

  4. @@lorri716 happy to hear you are doing good, I been having some crazy days here at work. Thank God I only work this week and will be off until the 4th of Jan cause I haven't even started Christmas shopping ???????? my weight loss has been slow this last two weeks but I'm ok with it.

I'm glad to hear you are well also. I wish I was off for a few weeks. I did most of my shopping but still have a few things to get yet. I hate shopping. I went to look for a casual outfit for tomorrow night for the hubs xmas party for work, god that sucked lol. I did end up w jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Hopefully both fit cause I didn't try them on. Did I mention I hate to shop lol. My weight hasn't budged. I'm frustrated cause I haven't hit onederland yet, I know I'll get there I just need to push harder.

  5. Hi @@lorri716 just checking to see how you are doing. Hope everything is well.

Hi there. I am doing good. I was wxhausted yesterday cause mom had a rough night the night before so I was up every 2 to 3 hours. My scale is finally moving again, so that made me happy. I did a workout yesterday for the 1st time in a month, felt pretty good. I hope you and your family are well. Are you ready for the holidays?

  6. Beautiful day in Haslet,TX, a little windy but it's nice. This is one of the large blouses my hubby bought me the other day. Pants are size 14, I actually had them for over 5 years and with tags, I remember buying them cause I really liked them and until now they fit!! I'm 5 days away from being 4 months post op and weighing today 192.

We're getting ready to Celebrate my husbands birthday today he turns 45 years!! attachicon.gif ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1449341263.107776.jpg

Happy birthday to your hubby. Mine turned 45 on Nov 24. You look fantastic.

  7. So pre-op I was wearing size 20 jeans and pants. I'm five weeks post-op this week and found my pants baggy around the waist and literally falling down and I felt I was looking sloppy at work.

This morning I brought out a pair of size 18 jeans to wear and I put them on without any trouble - the only problem is they feel a little tight around the waist and it gives me a little muffin top. Don't get me wrong, they look good and they fit pretty well. I just don't understand how sizing down just one size makes such a huge difference.

I went from loose & baggy to sausage casing! The catch.. they are the same jeans from the same store, just one size down.

I am so glad I'm not the only one with this issue. I'm in between sizes to and I'm more comfortable in baggy than sausage casing. Lol
