    Letty's journey post-op

We will do traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, broccoli and homemade noodles, stove top stuffing this year since that's what my daughter likes, I prefer my homemade but oh well, dinner rolls, birthday cake as today is my hubby's birthday and Thurs is my daughter's, we will also have pumpkin pie and maybe a chocolate pudding pie. Ugh I'll need to be really careful too. The cucumbers look good.

    I want solid food!

Miralax will help with the bowel movements. I was eating too much cheese and taking an iron pill which made bm's few and far between. I stopped the iron n backed off the cheese and took the miralax and I'm good to go now.

    Thanksgiving Tips

Considering our stomachs are much much smaller than normal, we can only eat so much before getting sick. So I'm eating my 1 or 2 oz of dark meat turkey a spoon of homemade noodles a spoon of mashed potatoes and a bite of pumpkin pie.

    EXERCISE CHALLENGE

I have not made my gym goal this week, however I have done a million squats steps and lots of manual labor for 5 days. Does that count? My weight was 211 this morning.

    Pissed Off Husband

I'm sorry that your husband has said those hurtful things. You do have alot of support here. It's a public forum and you can speak your mind however you want. If someone doesn't like it then they can just go on to the next forum. Please don't be discouraged. Do you best and get better.
  9. Good luck to you. Think positive. Everything is going to be ok. You will initially have some pain but mostly from the gas. This will pass and will be nothing like you have previously endured. You got this!

7.99 that's awesome! I have so many exercise dvds. I can't wait to actually get to using some of them. As soon as my house remodeling is complete.

I've been really struggling with exercise too but we are remodeling our house to put it on the market so I do manual labor instead. I'll get back to it soon though.
  14. I can honestly say I'm a lucky woman. My husband and I have been together since I was 17 (I'm now 40). I've never been a thin person, I think my lowest weight was around 195 when I met my husband. Since then I ballooned to 260 at my highest. My husband has always always told me how beautiful I am and has always been a very affectionate man. Always holding hands kissing etc. Now that I've had surgery and the smaller I get the more affectionate he becomes, if that's even possible. I think he might smother me with it eventually lol. I on the other hand am not the kissy huggy lovey type. I guess that might change I don't know. Let your husband's and wives know how you feel and eat you're thinking. Communication is key folks. Marriage is hard enough, open up with your spouse.
  15. Yes low fat mayo is ok. It was recommended by my dr.

    Sex after surgery

Are you in pain? If you aren't now but then become in pain and start running a fever I suggest calling your doctor immediately or going to the er just to be safe. I waited for atleast 3 weeks before having sex and I was ok, but we didn't get freaky if ya know what I mean

That salsa sounds awesome. My hubby hates quac! My daughter had her sleeve done in Oct. And she is about to hit onederland, most likely tomorrow....I'm so jealous lol.

Hi there. So far I've only noticed a strand or two here or there. Nothing real noticeable. I do however have my hair cut short right now, so maybe that's why I'm not noticing it. My day was good, happy to say that my 1 week stall is over and the scale is moving again. I weighed in at 212 this morning. Quite happy about that. Hoping to hit onederland before the end of Dec.

Exercise for the sake of exercise

In home dvds for exercise. They help mix things up.
  20. Good luck and you look great!
  21. Take your measurements, you will see a difference there.
  22. I know I've seen a thread on here about losing g friends but I can't find it so I've started another one. I have a best friend who we talk about everything and anything. I'm sure most of us have that person. However I think mine is purposely avoiding me. We live only 3 miles from each other, so it's not distance. We used to call each other every morning and discuss our evening ad plans for the day or whatever, but I haven't heard from her on 2 weeks. I've left messages I've texted her but she only responded once and with some lame excuse. I think that she's jealous of my weight loss as now I look much thinner than her and I'm down almost 50lbs. I'm trying to accept that some people just can accept this but damn it sucks not talking to my bestie.
