My operation is today. I have to check in at Hospital in an hour.

Mixed feelings. I've had a little cry - don't really know why and am continuing to be a little teary. Probably nerves etc.

Will post again on the flip side.

@@Newnetty, How's the Optifast going? I'm starting Tuesday and a little nervous. How much weight have you lost. Same surgery date. Good luck

The optifast is ok. I'm having one shake, 1bar and one dessert a day + 140g chicken breast & 2 cups of non starch veggies + 3ltrs of Water (approx 750cal all up).

I've been on it for one week and lost 6kg which is awesome. Day 2 & 3 were pretty brutal in the detox stage (caffeine & sugar withdrawals) and had a wicked headache but I feel great now I have to lose approx 80kg all up - so long journey ahead for me! Good luck with your journey

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Day 4 of 20 pre-op diet and feeling much better. Headache is just about gone and weight is certainly dropping (even though I know a lot of it is Water weight).

Hey fellow Aussies! Sydney girl here. I'm having sleeve done on 20th Oct. Am on day 3 of pre op diet. Major headaches as caffeine and sugar withdrawals play havoc lol but today is better than yesterday
