Gastric Bypass Surgery Progress Pictures
RNYDawn replied to JustFluffy's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow!!! You look SO HAPPY! -
I have to complete the 90 day nutrition plan so once that's finished. Well that and the other 682 things required ????. I thought 3 months would seem like forever but there's so much to do (plus the holidays!) so I think it will fly by. The insurance coordinator said I'd finish my requirements in January and get on the schedule for February or March - but I'm hoping for February! How about you?

Awesome! Today was my consult too!

My update! I met with my surgeon today and he was so wonderful. We both decided on bypass based on my GERD. My first nutrition seminar is next week as well as my sleep doctor consultation. My endoscopy is scheduled for the 22nd! I have a lot more to do (psych, ultrasound, blood work, EKG, referral letter from PCP, weight history, sleep study) and I'm going to start chipping away at making the appointments tomorrow! I think I would be way more overwhelmed if I hadn't found this place and read about so many of your experiences. Thank you! And a big shout out to @ who has been so patient with my questions. <3

Five month surgiversary....

Congratulations!!!! -
Thank you (again) ????
-
Sending you big hugs and support. I'm sorry you went through all of that and I hope you are now recovering.

Thank you all sooooo much. I've been taking 40mg of a PPI for at least 10 years. I still have to sometimes take papaya enzyme in the middle of the night because I wake up with a burning throat. Not having GERD would be so amazing! I go back to my gastroenterologist tomorrow for a follow up on an endoscopy I had done in May. I know, a little late ????

Good luck!!! Sending hugs!

Dr. Masoud Rezvani at Bluepoint Medical Associates (Virginia)
RNYDawn replied to RNYDawn's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
After more research and talking to another member on here, Dr. Rezvani used to practice in PA but is now in Virginia. And curiously enough, he worked in the same small town in PA where my husband's family is from - I am calling that a sign! -
I am happy to see this question too. I work from home so I may take off a full week or two and then work half days so I can nap in the afternoon!

Congrats Sherry! Your smile in the second pic says it all!

RNYDawn replied to rmarylee09's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm new too. Hi! <3 My first real consult with a surgeon is in two days. These boards are so full of amazing information - good and bad - which is so important! Looking forward to talking to you on here! -
Hi, I'm Cheri, and I'm new here.
RNYDawn replied to cheri02's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@@cheri02 I am in the same boat and it's nice to hear from others that these feelings are normal! <3 I saw a surgeon in May for the free seminar but stopped there. Now I'm ready again but meeting with a different surgeon on Thursday! @@Grace2115 - you must be so excited! Thinking good thoughts and sending them your way! @@toasty - first of all, I LOVE your user name and thank you for your awesome information you share on here. The statistics are what keep me moving forward with this...I've tried for 15 years to lose weight and any success has been negated with regains plus more. (Sorry to hijack your thread Cheri) -
Thinking of you @@Nessa0121!!!!

@ do you know what the co-morbidities are? I looked on the site & found only a few. I didn't see GERD...boo.
