I truly understand where you coming from. I had a low BMI at surgery I was weighing in at 193 and I'm 5"2. At the beginning o really thought I made a huge mistake but as I was healing I realized that this was one of the best decision I have made, my entire life. I was like you.... I've been fighting to lose weight since I turned 21 years old. I have three kids and I'm 38 now. I also had many health problems to deal with such as hbp, sleep apnea, Borderline diabetes, high cholesterol, fatty liver, Low Iron, heart palpitations all the time. I chose to live and look good while I'm doing it. I had my surgery on the 8th of September. I now weigh 175...which is really good.... I say go for it and do what makes you happy.

I was sleeved on 9/8. I had hernia surgery as well. Today I'm feeling better than I felt in a while. I'm curently 175 and before surgery I was 197.I haven't loss any weight since I have come home from hospital. I had many complications and still have a few like.... Getting all my fluids in and including protein.I can't poop at all. I have my 4week check up on tomorrow. I am so ready to exercise. I fight everyday for energy and I honestly think it will be better once I can exercise. Any suggestions on how to get all the fluids done daily and something that makes you poop but gentle on the belly?

Hello everyone! I had my surgery 9/8. I am 37 years old. I went in surgery weighing 197 as of today. I weigh 175 and I'm loving my body. I just want to know how do you keep your rear end from vanishing?

OK I had my surgery on the 8th of September. I went in on Tuesday morning and went home that Friday. I had hernia surgery at the same time. I also had problems urinating after surgery. I went in weighing 195lbs. Most of all the nurses and doctors said I was too little for the surgery. I have dealt with health problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatty liver, sleep apnea, I had to lose weight in order to be healthy. I was taking over 9 daily pills. My goal is to become healthy and lose weight at the same time. I want to wish you gull speedy recovery. Everyday gets better. I'm telling you that from experience.

yes it's hard to get all the fluids plus the protein. I was weak and tired. I started taking B12 and Vitamins And immediately started feeling better. My surgery was 9/21 and I'm so shocked to hear some people's stories who were within days of me. I'm not getting in 64oz. of Water or 60-80 g of Protein. My best day so far was 40 oz. of water and 40g of protein. Also kudos to those of you back to work. Week two is proving tough for me. I'm VERY weak and really tired.

I had mine on September 25, along with hernia repair. Giant swollen tummy very bruised and sore. I can only drink one mouthful at a time and I feel it go down. I thought I would not be hungry but I am and I get exaggerated hunger pangs. I'm tired and grumpy hoping to feel better soon.

I had my surgery on the 8th of September. I'm looking for someone I could chat with and compare notes. I had the sleeve done.Surgery is September 8th. Would love to chat with others around the same time! Add me as a friend if you want????

I had the same problems. I was teasing my doctor about my surgery. I told him that he faked my surgery. He was trying a study. Make me believe I had surgery, to see if I could loose weight without the surgery... We laughed

I'm in Texas.... I had a lot of health issues which my insurance company approved it but it took a while. I had to go through a lot to get it approved. I had been trying since last yearI barely made the cut off at 36. I was under the impression that most surgeons (in the U.S.) wouldn't perform surgery under 35. I am thinking that you're likely part of a very small group of BMI'ers. Are you in the states?

wait you had surgery on 9/8 and you already lost 19 lbs!?!? I was 195 when I had my surgery 8/27 and I've only lost 17lbs.. Hmmm.. I didn't have any major health problem I was just fat.I'm really looking to chat with some people that really didn't have much weight to loose. I started out at 197 now I'm 178. I has the surgery because of health problems. High blood pressure, borderline diabetic, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, gerd, fatty liver, hernia, and a bad heart. My cardiologist suggested that I have the surgery. Im really trying to get off all the medications and look good at the same time. I had complications after the surgery which was done on the 8th of September. I just want to know if I'm the only one out here that really had no choice to have the surgery and also don't have that much weight yo lose.
I'm at a stall... I had a lot of fat to loose. I'm 5"2....I lost all that at the hospital. Since I've been home. I haven't lost anything

The cut off is 30... I barely made it...but I'm glad I did. I check my blood pressure everyday...so far so good. My main focus is to get off all the meds and not loose to much weight looking sick instead of sexy.lol

I had my surgery on 9/8/15.....weighing 197, I'm now 147...greatest thing ever. I have more energy. I'm off all my blood pressure pills. I really feel great. I was in size 16 pants, I bought a pair 9. The pants fit when I left the store but 2 weeks later, the pants were too big... I'm not buying anymore until I reach goal.
