  1. My Dr only had me do a 24 hour liquid diet the day before, but I started replacing 2 meals a day with protein shakes, a week before surgery to prepare myself a little bit for post op liquid meals!
  2. Mine was like a little nap! When I woke up I could remember small things like I remember them telling me to open my mouth. When I woke up I was pretty drowsy all day, and they said my throat might be sore but mine wasn't. I also had it done 2 days before Christmas and was fine on Christmas Day!
  3. My sleeve was about a hour and a half, my dr said he had to separate some muscles in my esophagus so it wouldn't be to narrow
  4. I tried to drink a lot of oj and water until my surgery and I only had a 1 day liquid diet the day before. My surgery went well I was sleeved on Tuesday afternoon and came home last night about 5. The clear liquids are not really a problem as I'm not hungry, but the tiny sips are hard to do.... If I sip to fast my throat starts like gurgling till I burp, it's wierd!
  5. I was scheduled for my sleeve on 3/3 and came down with a cold 3/1, the dr ended up rescheduling (for his reasons not because of me) but I just got sleeved on 3/8 and all that was left of my cold was a little stuffy nose that they didn't even notice!
  6. I'm only 2 days post op and they told me I can take pills already, all Drs plans are different though so check with them first, but usually if they don't allow it at first, after a week or so it should be fine. And the psych eval was really just questions about yourself and what you will do to stay in plan with having the surgery, and who will support you....
  7. Im recovering well, I was nauseous from the morphine for awhile, but they switched me to Tylenol and I've been feeling much better! Not a lot of gas pains so that's good! But I started my period also this morning before coming to the hospital, so that's fun lol
  8. Good luck @@mistycal Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thanks, and good luck to any others for today!
  9. Got the call from the hospital I have to be there at 9:30 tomorrow for my surgery @ 11:30!![emoji847]
  10. Thankfully I'm just on full liquids not clear, and just 24 hrs before....
  11. So my surgery is on 3/8 and I've been having nightmares about the morning of surgery (not eating or drinking) and the liquid diet the day before!!! Lol how wierd my subconscious must be freaked out about messing up!! I thought I would be more nervous about the surgery not the preop stuff!!
  12. I was nervous when It was supposed to be yesterday!! Now since they changed my date I'm ready lol
  13. I'm tuesday[emoji137]????
  14. My surgery got rescheduled for Tuesday, which sucks, but I think I have a cold so I should be good to go by then!
  15. Good luck, mine is set for Thursday. Sending up prayers for your quick recovery!
  16. My preop instructions say no makeup, perfumes, lotions, creams, contacts, and to use the special soap so I'm guessing hairsprays out too!
  17. I had my preop today with blood work, and they gave me the soap to use the morning of and went over the day before instructions... I'm so excited now, they gave me a choice of 3/1 or 3/3 and for babysitting reasons I went with 3/3, but all the people for 3/1 were there it made me wish I picked 3/1!
  18. HI I'm scheduled for 3/3 also! I am only required to do 24 hr liquid diet the day before, but I'm doing low cal until surgery to try and shrink my liver for a smoother surgery..
  19. I'm in Fresno, scheduled for March 3
  20. I just found out I'm approved and scheduled for March 3! And only 24 hr liquid preop diet!!
  21. I had a complication with my insurance and I had to find out how long they would keep the tests/clearances I had already been through, and they said a year, after that I would have to redo the process. I'm sure it differs at every Drs office though!
  22. I'm waiting for insurance approval, but should have a march surgery date soon!
  23. I don't post a lot but I read a lot! Anyways, my coordinator called me today, I seen the # and I knew they were submitting to insurance this week, so I was a little excited, when she then informed me that my insurance group had changed and it was rejected! What happened was my pcp stopped accepting the ins group that was accepted at the surgery center, and long story short I had to switch back to the original group and change my pcp, which she said is ok because I don't need anymore referrals for the surgery.... I will have to change back later but as far as the surgery goes she is submitting again today!... I told my bf I don't know if I'm happy or want to throw-up!
  24. Congrats! My license is the same story, when I was 17 I thought 165 sounded "believable", I don't think I've ever got down to that and it's said that for 18 yrs also!
  25. I found unflavored whey protein in the bulk section @ Winco in CA, then I just googled the nutrition info... It wasn't that bad, I mixed the powder with room temp water then added to the soup.
