  1. I know exactly how you feel I'm the first week marker from my surgery and had a hernia repaired. The pain in my left shoulder is unbelievable. I've iced and heated but nothing has helped. It's the nerves that are aggravated causing the pain. I hope it subsides soon.
  2. I'm at my week one mark and I was wondering is it Imperative to adhere to the broth only aspect of the foods allowed for first two weeks or can you have something like a tomato purée soup? The broth just bores me. Also would a scrambled egg be a no no at this point? Thanks for any imput
  3. IMHO All I can say is if you have any doubts don't do it. I can't imagine a surgeon would approve if you are not definite in your decision. This is your decision not your family or friends. Give it truthful thought and base your choice on what is best for you. It sounds like there might be other issues at hand. It's an option and a rush judgement would only hinder vs. help. We all had questions and doubts at first, but that usually passes once you decide that this will improve your life. Just don't rush it.
  4. That's wonderful. I had a similar experience. BSC authorized me in a day. Surgery scechedled 2.5 weeks later. I figured I would have had to wait the usuall 3 month authorization time. I'm happy for you. Gl
  5. Hi I'm at my week point since surgery. Does anyone know how long it takes for all the internal swelling to go down? I felt better on the third day after surgery. My body is more slow now on day 7. I'm hoping I will be able to go back to work after 2 weeks off. On a side note I was excited that I finally had my first bowel movement in over a week lol. Yay
  6. My surgeon told me to take flintstones complete chewable for a multi , one 2000 vitamin d and super b complex
  7. Hi I had my surgery last Wednesday. I had a hernia repaired too. I have permanent stitches where he attached the hernia area to my diaphragm, stomach and esophagus. I've been experiencing a great deal of pain in my left shoulder which I understand is normal. But I've also experienced an esophagus spasm. That had to be one of the most unsettling situations to contend with. I felt like I was drowning. liquid gets stuck and breathing appears to be labored feeling like a weight is on my chest, center mass. I need to burp to get a little relief. Last night I woke up vomiting in my sleep. Is this common? I've been trying to get in as much fluids as possible, but it seems to take an eternity to drink the smallest of amounts. I'm hoping I will notice improvements with each day. Best Constance
