Swelling timeframe

Hi

I'm at my week point since surgery. Does anyone know how long it takes for all the internal swelling to go down? I felt better on the third day after surgery. My body is more slow now on day 7. I'm hoping I will be able to go back to work after 2 weeks off. On a side note I was excited that I finally had my first bowel movement in over a week lol. Yay

I didn't notice any swelling. I also didn't have gas pains either. To me it only felt like someone had punched me in the stomach, so very tolerable. However, each person is different. For me, the worst pain was when they removed the drain. My entire abdomen cramped up something fierce.
