Are you happy with the surgeon? You need to do what's best for you. Personally I only met with the nutritionist once. If I didn't get along with her I would have stayed because my surgeon is one of the best. Gl!

I'm self-employed. So I told a couple of my clients that I have known for over 30 years. I told my closet brother. But that was it. I didn't have a lot of appts pre or post. Just the surgeon, nutritionist pre-eval and psych so I'm unsure about all your appt? Most of the appt where minimal regarding time. Gl

I've been at a stall for 4 weeks. I'm 9 months out. At least I haven't gained anything lol but it's frustrating. This is the longest I've experienced and part of me feels I'm not going to lose another pound!!!

Lol with this 5 week stall I'm not getting up on the scale for awhile. It just annoys me. My clothes are getting looser after 8 months went from a 26/4x to a size 10 L tops

Your body will need whole foods. Just wait until the dreaded stalls happen lol you are doing great

That is far from disappointing. Typical weight loss is 2lb a week.

I was sent back to work as a prison guard 2 weeks post op. Was definitely too early considering they said don't lift over 20 pounds for a month....my gun belt weighs me than that and I'm sure wrestling a 300 pound inmate wouldn't be good....I took it easy and tried to avoid a fight and I did ok. 6 weeks post op now.How long did you take off of work? How long did you actually need? How long were you in pain? What was your job?
Sorry lots of questions. Trying to figure out how much time I will need.
I'm a nurse by the way, work for a busy pediatric clinic. It does not require lifting, just a lot of sitting/standing.
Thanks in advance!
I'm new here, the name is Taylor.

Try putting pillows on either side of you. That's what I did. I purchased two king size to keep me off my tummy

I'm self/employed so I had a different focus. I had to get back to work. I took almost 2 weeks off. Probably needed three. I was in excruciating pain from the hernia repair. The sleeve caused some pain but it was manageable. The hernia repair was not. I'm in property. On my feet and active for upwards of 15 hr a day. Gl!

It does. I had to force myself for 5 months. It does change and becomes easier with time. Continue to be diligent and get all your Protein and fluids in.

In life we always compare and try to establish a baseline. That is normal. Your body does need to heal and acclimate. I feel like I'm never going to lose another pound after this stall but it's about compliance and acceptance and patience.

Typically I lose 2lb a week but it varies. I've been at a stall for 3 weeks currently. You are doing just fine.

The difficulty is after 15 years and we were each other's best friend and now dealing with this curve ball....Honestly the dating scene is not something I want to even tackle. It will just be me and my cats!!!

Thank you. I've been pondering this to the death over this and the one thing that is off where he is concerned is I have a very close friend who is an nfl player. He knows I primarily have male friends always have. I'm the only girl and youngest of 3 brothers. Tomboy through and through. Out of no where he continued to be aggressive where this friend is concerned. Wanting me to eliminate him from my life. That is hysterical to me. No one not even him can dictate who will be my friend. Maybe it's because my friend is number one in his position in the NFL. Seems like jealousy to me. I was willing to discuss so we could move past this. He said no. So now I'm left with the strong feeling I've been duped. He has been with me at my heaviest, encouraging me, loving and supporting me then this.for some unknown reason he believes I cheated on him. That isn't in my nature. I can't change him. I'm not going to plead with him. He wants to have s chat tomorrow. Jury is still out.

I can certainly commiserate with you. My relationship of 15 years just ended. Devastating? Without question. But we did this for ourselves and with that find your personal strength and self love to guide and support you. We will be fine. This happened 4 days before my birthday. I cried for a week. But as with anything it does get better. Just try and comfort yourself.

5 months for me but I can only have a tiny slice so it really isn't worth it.

No longer have full feeling

So I'm 15 months out and one thing I've noticed is I no longer have that full feeling. Any ideas? Anyone else experience this? I would be astounded if I stretched my stomach since I'm still eating the same portions as I did several months out of surgery. Maybe Water could stretch? I will be disappointed if this is the case
