  1. If I NEED an energy drink I do monster rehab, or a rockstar lemonade. Neither of those drinks have carbonation or sugar and are very low calorie. Be careful though because they will dehydrate you and you'll be on the toilet more than a few times. Lol. Just know that however many ounces of caffeine you drink of you'll need to drink double the amount of ounces in hydrating fluids. For example: if you drink 12oz of an energy drink you'll have to drink 24 extra ounces ABOVE your liquid goal for the day. At least that's what my nutritionist has said, and what I've read here from other posters. Also I'm 7 weeks out. I've done it once, and never did it again bc of the bathroom and dehydration...

  2. No, it doesn't sound like you're eating too much 6 days out at all. Your focus now should be on hitting your liquid and Protein goals. So if your work towards that, then you'll be good. If you're worried about your caloric intake then log your food/protein into my fitness pal. The range of calories should be 400-600. If you feel you're doing too much then talk to your doctor or nutritionist. They're the real experts, lol.

  3. My husband also prefers a curvy woman, but he also has said that he wants his wife to be as healthy as possible so we can be with each other for as long as possible. We met when I was at my heaviest (250) I lost almost 100lbs from diet, then gained almost all of it back with my two pregnancies. He loves me for me, and I accept that. Someone might be his physical idealness but they'll never be me. He's a very fit military guy, so I've always felt uncomfortable at my weight meeting his friends and things. He's good with the fact that I'm going to lose weight (and boobs lol), as long as I "don't lose too much" (120s). Even if I do though, I'm very secure in our marriage. For me, it's a good problem to have. He's attracted to me, because of me and that's good. If the tables were turned and he gained weight, I wouldn't love him any less. I think it's more of something I need to get over than he will. It'll take some time, but we'll get used to our new normal. Also, I know if I gain any back (as some people don't stay at their lowest forever) he'll be totally fine with that.

  4. I just put my phone in my bag. I've got insurance on the damn thing so if they wanted to steal it while I was passed out then they could. It didn't get stolen though. When I was in recovery I just kept it on the bed with me. I didn't use it much because I was out of it most of the time, but it was nice to have it with me still.

  5. My husband also has been my biggest supporter. He's changed his diet right alongside mine, and we're making better decisions as a family unit now.

My mother, who has never had any weight problems, was against having surgery in the beginning, but now she fully supports me and was SO helpful along the way.

I haven't told my dad about this surgery, he loves me, but he's got a big mouth and lots of opinions. I still love my dad, but I've got some boundaries set.

I'm so very happy that you've got that support from your parents, they sound like beautiful people. ❤️

  6. You'll be able to eat still after surgery. So, you can still go out to places to eat. You just won't be able to eat the same amount of food as you have in the past. Hopefully, your choices will also be healthy. It won't be Soups and salads every time. More like Protein based. Instead of Pasta, you'd order, like chicken. Every place my husband has wanted to go since surgery had a yummy, healthy, option for me. I am a pretty picky eater too. If you want to lose weight, then surgery is for you. If you don't want to make any changes to your eating, then maybe surgery isn't right for you at this time. New eating does take time to get used to, but it's not all kale either...

I was a big volume eater, so Portion Control is really what I needed and surgery gave me that tool. I wouldn't exchange my weight loss for a full plate of food that was making me fatter. Lol.

  7. "Cheating" on what exactly? You're being cheated every single day of the life and health you want by doing what you've done before. It's a procedure that's going to make things better for your future. We've been part of the 95% of overweight people who can't lose weight without surgery. So, there's nothing wrong with taking the opportunity that the medical field has given us. If losing weight was easy....nobody would be overweight. Just know that I'm so excited for you, and there's lots more of us here that are really rooting for you!!!

  8. I was able to do it the "hard" way, and I went from 250-159. Then I got pregnant. Twice. Two kids in a row, and I got back up to 237. I didn't have the time with two little ones and a husband to think about my eating, and no time for exercise. I was really embarrassed that I lost all that weight, just to regain it all back. I was feeling truly depressed and I stopped doing things for myself. I knew something had to change. Could I lose weight again the "hard" way? Yes. But I had so much self doubt and experience with gaining it all back. I needed a permanent solution, not a fad diet.

I don't have money for a personal trainer, I don't have time for hours in the gym, like all the shows (biggest loser, fat to fit). They're an unrealistic way to lose weight for the rest of the population. I have to make the best decisions for myself, especially now that I've got so much more to live for (my family).

So, I made the decision that weight loss surgery was what I needed to get me back to the person I want to be. I want to be the beat and healthiest version of myself. Not crash diet until I get to a goal, then regain it. I had surgery 5 weeks ago, and I'm down to 201.6 (so close to under 200).

Society doesn't feel like this is the "right" way, well that's fine. That's why this is MY journey, MY life, MY decision. I have the knowledge that for my weight... This is the best and most effective way for me to lose, and keep off, my weight. I'm not sharing my choices with everyone, I'm not interested in their opinions. Again, it's MY life.
