Any Middle TN Sleevers?
My self pay was $12k plus another $300 for nutritionist and psych eval. I pulled cash from my credit card to pay for it. You can pay by card but they charge a little more for that.

What did you tell people about your absence?
I also took 10 days off. Just told people had vacation time to take so I didn't lies it at end of year and was just doing staycation to take care of things I usually don't have time for. I was "dieting" before surgery, and they still think I am, so nothing said about weight loss.

One week post op
Hang in there. I had a rough 10 days post op. Then after the 10th day I turned the corner and things got better quickly. It was hard vomiting everyday, afraid to drink or eat, had to go to my PCP to get IV fluids. I felt a lot of regret during that time. But things do get better. I am almost 5 weeks out and doing great. I wish you a speedy recovery!

Feeling strange
I don't think people mean anything negative about you before. I think they are trying to encourage you. It is hard for people to know what to say. If they didn't acknowledge your accomplishment, how would you feel then? That is when I would feel bad. Cheer up. Shut out the bad thoughts. Rejoice everyday. You are doing great.
