  1. I was wondering, how much weight have you lost since surgery? I’m 18 days out, clear liquids and protein shakes, under 400 cals daily (for 3 days there while readmitted I ate zero), and I’ve only lost 9lb ☹️ Granted it’s “that” time of the month so maybe I’m retaining. But retaining what? Broth? Grrr
  2. Wow, what surgery did you have?

    My Journey (Finally)

You write so eloquently. So Sorry about this ordeal. Hope it’s. Smooth loosing for you from here!
  6. You are so creative, your pallet will not be bored at all. How do you measure soup then? 2oz solids and as much broth as you like?
  7. Me Own Popsicles Being on clears is hard, I want to bite into something! Sharing a new hack! Instead of SF colored nutritinless junk, I took matters into my hands, ordered a kit on Amazon and made these beauties out of Vitamin Water and such! I took one on my hot walk in Texas and it kept me cool and nourished.
  8. Smart, if it’s not too much trouble, post a pic next time, I would love to see!
  9. I hope so, I’m just feeling pretty demoralized since I’ve only lost 1-2 lbs in the last three weeks. Trying to take deep breaths and just keep doing what I’m supposed to... Aw honey, I came home from surgery 9lb heavier due to swelling and IV fluids! Took almost two weeks to just loose that and be back to square 1! Talk about frustrating!!! Hang in there, this is for life. Slower loss usually is more permanent! With my sleeve I was the Haire. I lost fast and regained fast while the turtles slowly outlost me and kept it off!
  10. Then, you should be good. Compared to what you ate prior, it will be physically impossible for you to not to loose!
  11. Yickes, so u measure in cup, turn put it in a plate and essentially wash that cup out each time? And what proportion stuff do you put in cup? Like half meat Hal’s veggies? What’s in them cups? I’ll be polishing me cup for next Wednesday!
  12. How do you all measure the whole 1/4 cup thing? Do you literally stick food in a measuring cup or do you eyeball it?
  13. Because that over 4.5lb each week!! I mean think before surgery, could you have ever come close to that on your own? And I know there are stalls in there, but you really need to average it out like that as your body compacts on some weeks.
  14. Good question, I wonder myself. I know several RNY folks years out who can chow down! Unfortunately, That is also associated with dreaded regain.... i also learned that a Bypass is not a Bypass is not a Bypass... and vary from doc to doc greatly. My doc has been doing them over 20 years and says every 2-3 years he perfects the procedure. He makes opening extra small and has a technique for which vessels and nerves to sever and which to reconnect, which is why my post op is 3 weeks clear liquid unlike many who can progress their food faster :/ i should hope the restriction stays though...I remember feeling bewildered when 4m after my sleeve, I started loosing restriction and yes, I slowly regained
  15. Day 15 post surgery, had my 2w post op today. I more week of clears. Started journey at 271, SW 257, today 248.7. Glory to God I have parted with about 22lbs :))). I was looking back realizing the last time I weighed this much was Christmas last year. So I’ve essentially undone all the 2018 damage in 1 month
