    Kaiser - Pre-op weight loss

The goal for us, here in SoCal, is 10% body weight. So, I understand. I'm so scared I won't reach the 10% goal.

You know you lost weight when

Wow, these are all so motivating. I've lost some weight, but I am preop. I just started the Classes last week. Hoping to get my surgery in January 2016. I can't wait to be post op and goal weight.

    Naturally Thin People ... omgosh!

@@Babbs Well said and I totally agree! And although my son is normal weight, thus far, I teach him not only Self love and respect, but love and respect to others as well. I don't want to raise a child who hates himself or who discriminates against others.

    Wait! Everyone just hold on!

Totally relate!! Active fat girl! Side note.. I love this website/app. ????

    Naturally Thin People ... omgosh!

I also love nutrition and fitness and worked in Holistic health and it's sad how they view and speak of overweight people.

    Naturally Thin People ... omgosh!

Wow, I wish I could say that I've never been discriminated against. Once I gained weight, men and women began treating me very differently and I've been bullied numerous times for it. I've had people stop in their cars to yell and laugh at my size. I don't understand it. It's disgustingly prejudice and shallow.

    Naturally Thin People ... omgosh!

You're putting words in my mouth. I didn't insinuate that at all. But, the TRUTH is that fat people DO get LOTS of discrimination. No one wishes prejudice against their child. Are there WORSE things? Obviously. But I for one wish I'd NEVER gotten fat with the way people treat us. We are a MOCKERY to society. Flat out. Why would she want that for her daughters???? I am sure you wouldn't want that for yours either. I'm just looking at it from her perspective. But again, no, of course I don't think it's the WORST thing in the world. Absolutely not. Definitely agree with you. @@Babbs

    Naturally Thin People ... omgosh!

Yeah I hate when skinny people say they are fat. Omg. And, the worker who said being fat is the worst thing ever.... She is proof that it's true. Society treats overweight people HORRIBLY and she probably doesn't want her daughters to experience that sort of hatred and prejudice. It's so sad. ???????? Heck, I had a roommate say in front of me that she didn't want to ever gain weight because she would look like a beached whale and then glance over at me in disgust. Smh. I've had a lot of experience getting bullied for my weight. And my romantic life SUCKS. I definitely wouldn't wish this on my own daughter (should I ever have one). I wish the world treated us as equals, but it Doesn't. Sad truth.

    Naturally Thin People ... omgosh!

I'm so jealous of naturally thin people. They eat WAY worse than I do. They eat Whatever they want, how ever much they want, whenever they want and don't gain an ounce. And I've heard men say to them, I love women who eat a lot and stay tiny. Aarrgghh... I even have friends who eat this way and NEVER exercise and are a size 2!! ???????????????????? Lucky them. Oh well! Just have to make the best of our genes and the cards that we're dealt. I think having the surgery is a huge step in the right direction and I'm so excited and happy for All of us!! ????????????????????

    Online Food Diary?

They should still record it, but they just won't give you a projected weight loss calculation. Otherwise, you can try Cronometer or SparksPeople

    Kaiser Permanente Options program

I'm really obsessive about that stuff, yeah, lol, I already do that. I also have always LOVED water. I drink about 5 liters daily. I have worked in Holistic health for a very long time, but my problem is a regain very easily. So hard to keep it off. I'm fed up. No pun intended. Lol! I've tried it all. It's depressing. I'm so over it. Ready for permanent fitness. I also enjoy working out. I need the Sleeve so that I don't self sabotage. If I'm full, I don't eat. I go to the Options Orientation tomorrow!! And, wow!!!! Your surgery is SO SOON!!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! Do you feel ready?!
