  1. I just read this whole thread and WOW. I stopped complaining that my 2 ounces of grits made me "grossly full". All I can say is wow.
  2. Liquids are ok but it's just so damn HOT!!! I'll try to up it and try the refried beans. I was afraid they'd be too much. Thanks guys.
  3. My 13 year old dog died.
  4. None on my end either. Everyone says they see it but I think they are just being nice new use they know I had surgery and that's what they "should" say.
  5. I seem to have lost all motivation to eat. Nothing sounds good. It's like I've developed a food aversion. I'm almost 5 weeks out and on pureed phase. I usually just drink milk and maybe have a few bites of eggs or grits a day. No where near my Protein goal because anything with artificial sweeteners in it makes me sick. Advice please. Thanks in advance.
  6. It doesn't necessarily need to be bland. Just take it slow and see what you tolerate.I'd rather starve than eat baby food too! Yeah I haven't blended anything, I just take super small bites and chew really well. Grits are Amazing at this stage!!
  7. Oh my gosh. I so have this!! Didn't know how to explain!!
  8. I just brought protein powder and a shaker and ordered water when we went out to eat during my pre op.
  9. I haven't Pureed anything. I just chew soft food like eggs and tuna really well. Tonight I'm trying Cincinnati style chili which is soupier.
  10. Get your potassium checked. That happened to me and I was admitted to replenish fluids and get 10 bags of potassium.
  11. I understand. I'll be 3 weeks tomorrow and can't keep down liquids or protein. It's miserable.
  12. I'm 19 days out and still nauseous.
  13. I want a Sprite or ginger ale so bad to help with this nausea but I'm afraid it will make it worse.
  14. I had to stop Prozac and trazodone. They were making me puke. The rest I take through the the day and constantly eat tums lol
  15. I'm about 18 days out and feel like this. I ended up with a kidney infection 10 days out and got very dehydrated. I'm still trying to catch up. I feel like if I could just drink water normally I'd feel so much better. These teeny tiny sips are not doing it.
  16. It turns out I had a kidney infection. I was sick for a week. My husband convinced me I was being a wimp. But Friday I almost passed out in the shower so we called the surgeon. It's Friday so no one was in. My post op appointment is Wednesday. Anyway I went to the ER and had severe polynephritis. They kept me for IV antibiotics and fluids. Next day I woke up feeling 100000 times better. So now I'm doing well. Meeting my goals without pain or vomitting.
  17. Last week 269. This week 263.
  18. I was doing so well and then last night I started throwing up and today I feel awful. Everything tastes like rotten eggs. My stomach is really sour and I'm exhausted.
  19. I was sleeved on Tuesday and have no idea what I've done to my self. :-/
  20. I can't keep down protein shakes so I'm drinking water and fairlife milk. Everything else tastes way too sweet. I'm also sleeping a lot and not sipping like I should.
  21. I made it out ok. No real nausea or pain. Just gas and some acid reflux I think.
  22. I'm dying. My surgery is tomorrow.
  23. Uuuuugh I hate the gym. I hate the gym I'm part of now that my husband signed me up for. It's small, it's mostly men doing free weights. There's like 3 treadmills and 2 bikes. I can feel people sweat on me. I never go. I've gone like 2 times. It's horrid. But after my surgery I'm joining Planet Fitness. I've been a few times at different times of the day and I like it. But I guess finding a gym you're comfortable with is key. Is there a women's only gym around? Or a gym that has a women's only room?
