Sophie, some men are this way, was her like this before surgery. Instead of getting yourself upset ponder this. you are looking nicer, you are losing weight, getting attention. He may of wanted you the way you were. Now stop looking at him getting upset and start thinking of how to make your relationship happier. Unfortunately many of these surgeries can lead to lifestyle changes in both spouses and many times if you do not be careful it can lead to divorce. If you love your husband talk to him, show him a pic of you before and plan a date night. Rebecca

Day 9 after surgery, fluids and Protein still a problem keeping up with. i am pushing as mush as i can but still hard. See doctor in 2 days As for protein I am researching some ready made drinks that are higher in protein and low in sugar. I like the Premier Protein but it is only sold through costco, Sam's club. that have a reasonable price. any suggestions. do not care for real sweet flavor -

Ok, i gained in the hospital 12 lbs, that was scary enough, after the fifth day of surgery I lost the 12 lbs but i am still not losing any more. I am walking, taking Vitamins, drinking about 48oz a day and trying to stomach as much Protein as possible. Any suggestions, I am walking between 1-2 miles a day. am i expecting to much.... -

I think mine is from not drinking enough. I am pushing as much as I can tolerate. I'm getting light headed when drinking Protein. But not when drinking fluids. I know my body has to get used to this. -

That is awesome, try mixing smaller amount of fluid to protein. Water is my issue. But I'm drinking lemonaid Dr says that's fine. Out walking mall today feels so great -

Thanks everyone, I am excited. I am not working but after graduation I will be actively pounding the pavement. it is awesome that there are sites like this that have chats where others tell it like it is and no sugar coating the procedures or post-op. that is important to continue to strive in recovery and to a healthy lifestyle. Thanks James, I am trying, i am trying to make less to drink but add the same amount of Protein and then dink over a time frame of 30 minutes. When it comes to my Water two swallows and I'm done for about 20 minutes. I am happy with the results so far. losing thae water gain from the hospital was a big deal for me, I worked hard to lose 30 lbs in the 6 months. Now I can focus on the rest of my journey. tomorrow I hit the gym for a slow walk on tread mill. Rebecca -

That is great. I feel the same. I am full of energy. I am actually graduating with my BA in less than 2 weeks. I am so excited. This journey has been a long one. From every diet and exercise program I could do. This is a journey to a new life, a healthy life and a longer life. I will be able to keep up with my grandchildren, go biking on trails, and possibly next summer take my son up on a mountain hike up a mountain in Alaska. -
