  1. @@winklie

Thanks so much fot this! I had my first Sahara ep yesterday and I would not wish it on anyone! I'm 8 days out and Smooth Move helped me a couple of times and I went naturally a couple of times so I didn't think to take it again. I'm off pain meds and have been able to get all my fluids in. What I went through yesterday I would not wish on anyone! I drank my yea last night and semi-volcano-ed twice today. Still more preferable to Sahara!

  2. What I used:

    Robe

    Chapstick

    Phone charger

    Brush

    Tooth brush:paste

    Did not use:

    Slippers

    Extra change of clothes

    Hospital provided:

    Grippy socks

    Heating packs

    Tooth brush/paste

    Face towel

    Body wash

What I didn't expect is that they sent me home w/pretty much everything in my room: basin, pitcher, toiletries, pillow, and and extra stuff I wanted. I wish I had more room in my bag. Haha!

  3. My program also said a year out and to be careful w/the first drink. I think they are also scared of cross addiction. I'm not a big drinker although I do like bloody Cesar's and beer w/sushi. I'm just going to have to skip and be ok with it. A year out I may try it and see how I feel. Although I hear carbonation is forever a no no. At least in my program.

  4. I'm late returning to the party/group! Good luck to everyone having surgery tomorrow! I report at 5:15 am in So. Cal. Hope I can catch some zzzzs's tonight. And yes, would love to buddy up or be in a group! Like @@songsmith I'm feeling under the weather and have a stuffy nose. Can't do anything now. @@Shiloh2004 I admire you for drinking Isopure, had the grape yesterday and it was fine. The mango/peach is meh so I'm skipping it. The nurse said it was ok so I'll keep it for after surgery.

  5. My insurance didn't cover the nasal spray even though I have a PPO :-(

I ended up getting the following:

    opurity multi (1 a day)

    Opurity D

    Celebrate Iron

    Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate chew

    the above I ordered online

I also got the following from costco

    B-12 Subingual

    Biotin

My house is stocked with Premier Protein and Muscle Milk Light shakes (both from Costco), sugar free Jello, sugar free popsicle, broth, Vitamin Water Zero, and other stuff I hope will get me through the first couple of weeks.

    Good luck!

  6. Surgery on 2/15, first day of pre-op diet. 3 Protein shakes a day and a lean balanced meal under 300 calories Lean Cuisine or 3-4oz lean Protein, 1 cup veggies, 1/2 cup starch and a light snack (string cheese and small apple).

Feeling ok, trying to distinguish body hunger vs. head hunger. I'm a bit worried about catching a cold/flu since co-workers are sick.

Nervous about surgery in general since it will be my first. Husband will be with me during surgery and overnight. He's been supportive but I know he is worried as well. Trying to read up and prepare everything also been training my mindset.
