Hi mine is a liver shrinkage diet, I'm on 5 slimfast a day but can only manage to fit in 4 in ,the 5th makes me feel sick and 2 leters of liquid, finding it a struggle and top it off got the worst cold in years , and not sure what I can take any one know, worried that if it doesn't go they might not operate ????

Hi I'm new here and in the UK but just saw yr post I'm also 29/9 for a bypass, at the mo I'm on liquid diet, and I'm soooo hungry, hope it Gos well for you ????

Don't know about you guys but this is the hardest thing I have every had to do to my self , if any ever says it's an easy way out they had better hope I'm in a good mood that day lol

Sept 29th group, I'm afraid I will not be joining you for surgery on the 29th after all In case you did not see my post, I'm putting it here below, and wishing all you wonderful people, a smooth, painfree, complication free experience on the 29th! Go forth and loose!!!
Not Happening After all …
So I was scheduled to have my Lapband Removal/Gastric Sleeve/ Gallbladder removal surgery on Sept 29th, but yesterday during the pre-op visit, it came to light that my surgeon, Dr. Fox, will be leaving for a month long vacation 2 days after my surgery! Given that he’s doing so much, he thought it unfair to leave and not be here should by chance I have any kind of complication. My logical side concurs, but I was so close to getting this done!!! I guess it was not meant to be….
So now I’ve been pushed back to November 2nd. I guess I was more prepared for this than I gave myself credit for, because I feel disappointed, empty, and a little purposeless…much like a deflated balloon. Another 6 weeks to wait!!! *Sigh*. It was like hurry up and then brick wall. I’d made all these arrangements and had visions of a much smaller me on Thanksgiving…

I wasn't all liquid, but had a pretty restricted pre-op diet (under 1000 calories). The first few days were rough, but once the sugar was out of my system, it wasn't so bad. Good luck...you can do it!

I'm on day 6 of 14 of my liver shrink diet. All I can have are Protein Shakes, any no calorie drinks (as much as I want), and sugar/fat free Greek yogurts. I'd love to have something to chew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! It's an exciting journey. Lots of support on here, feel free to reach out if you have questions. I'm only a week out though, so certainly not experienced.
