I'm October 14th. Now on my 5 day pre-op diet. So far so good.

I'm too cranky to figure it out!

I so get that!! I just poured a cup of Decaf tea! Try it! It's very soothing!

Ladies! I like the page for October sleevers. I found adding ice to my shake in the blender helped. I had some crunch and I made it last longer. Tonight was better than last night. We can do this!

@@cwish I'm hanging in there. Early evening is hard for me but I'm doing good! I tried your no Water after the shake tonight. I'll let you know, I'm still slowly drinking it. ????

@@Newtum For me it's the same. I know eventually we will be able to eat food again. I just worry what the permanent things I won't be able to do, will be. And never wanting to gain it back. I hear stories of people who have, and as so many people in this site have said, "everyone has an opinion about what we are doing". I just sat next to a woman who thinks this is really dumb and I shouldn't do it and she wasn't exactly nice as she said it. I'm sure if I told her to quit smoking she would have a reason she can't.

So I just keep reading the success stories, remind myself this is for me only. (And my grandson)! So yes I'm nervous and every other minute I want to change my mind. But I know better and in a year this will be the best thing I did for me! (This is me telling myself this as much as you!).

My instructions say 2 weeks so I'm starting Wednesday.... So I would say start the same day.

I'm on the 14th and my doc gave me Wednesday for my pre-op to start, too.

So I'm curious, my NUT is on vacation. Your surgery is the 14th too, right? I was thinking I had to start today as the day before is all Clear Liquids. However I was thinking I could wait til exactly 2 weeks. Thoughts?

So happy to find a local page. My surgery is Oct. 14th with Dr. Jawad. Next week starts my 2 week diet. Any suggestions from those already through the process?
