@@lili2333Awwww what's the matter? Did I hurt your wittle feewings?
I'll try not to lose sleep over the fact that you find me insufferable.
Here's a little tip. There's an ignore feature. You don't like my posts? Use it. [/]
You didn't hurt my feelings. Where did I indicate that you hurt my feelings?
Did you HOPE that you hurt my feelings, or someone else's? Absolutely you did. I cannot fathom why you'd jump into the conversation with your own dumb lucky story with zero help or encouragement if you didn't.
I won't ignore you, I don't sweat you. And I'll gladly play by your rules, wherein we call each other out on BS.
You are not helpful and you are unkind and I don't see any other reason for a veteran to hang out here unless they're getting something weird from it.

Huh.
My husband has loved me through thin, fat, thin again, fat again and finally thin again. No matter what I looked like, he still couldn't keep his hands off of me.
Maybe that's why we've been together for almost 30 years. He just loves me for...me. I guess I'm lucky.
You are insufferable and your response offered zero help whatsoever. I've said it before and I stand by it, you are the worst.

Hubby loves me at whatever weight / shape I am. He just loves me.
And vice versa.
(sniff)
You know... that's so nice.. but that sure makes me feel kind of bad.
That really wasn't the question, or point of my post.. but I'm honestly glad for those of you whose relationship hasn't changed at all.
Maybe he just doesn't really love me.
@@vsg and @@Babbs are literally the worst people on here. Only a certain kind of person responds to a problem with a brag. These two are consistently condescending humblebraggers who respond to people with either snark, "honesty" or condescension. Ignore them, they're clearly bottom dwellers in the real world but feel like Queen Bees here.
Best of luck to you!

I had Rny, I have a desk job and I was ok. I was tired and not a hundred percent but I got through the day and appreciated the normalcy and all in all I think I was better for having done that. After months of preparing it felt good to go be productive.

You look wonderful, congrats!!!!

Mine was like 2 weeks! It stopped suddenly one day and never came back, at that point I felt normal again. It was the only one thing that worried me, it seemed to not let up!
-
I took off a week. Surgery was on a Tuesday and I went back on a Tuesday. Could have used and extra day but it definitely was not traumatic and it got me feeling back to normal.
-
Mine lasted about 2.5 weeks.
-
Huge huge difference!!!!!
-
I felt the exact same way! I'm 4 weeks out and feeling amazing now. The first 2 weeks were hard and so so long, but it does get better and you'll feel normal soon.
-
Mine KILLED for 2 weeks and then one day just stopped. It felt like a constant side stitch. Hang in there!

I've run into your comments quite a bit here and while sometimes helpful, you're mostly sanctimonious and condescending. Is this the thread where someone wants validation to drink too early post surgery and gets mad when they don't get it?
I thought so.
Well, I've never seen your posts before, and you're boring.
Good luck finding online support for WLS.
What you said makes no sense.
I just had surgery, and I've found great support here. Luckily I've never asked a question that babbs is displeased with and I've avoided her virtual eye rolling. But I've come across it often and it's less than helpful.
The only input you've had about me so far is that I'm boring, so perhaps you find her condescension amusing.

Congrats on the loss, lord knows it's hard, even with the surgery.
Im not sure how far out you are but I'm 3 weeks out and can barely make my goals, and they're not as aggressive as yours. My surgeon also just gives me a few minutes of his time to ask questions and then leaves the room, so I get the frustration.
BUT....this is YOUR STORY and YOUR BODY and as long as you're trying your best I'm sure you'll have a happy ending, like we all will. We need to be tough on ourselves but kind to ourselves and that's not easy!
Good luck to you!

Thanks so much you guys!!!

Hey all! Had my surgery 10/13 and feeling ok so far. I'm home and just a little sore, walking and sipping as much as possible.
I'd hoped to come off my blood pressure meds as soon as I was discharged, but that has not been the case. I'm a little discouraged and disheartened and really hoping that it's just taking its good old time resolving itself. Any suggestions/similar issues. Thanks and I hope you're all going well!

I have a copper IUD and I love it. I've had it for 5 years and zero problems.

Mines 10/13, so nervous!
-
Mines full liquid, so Protein Shakes, Greek yogurt, strained Soup, cottage cheese, SF Jello and ice pops.
-
I start my 2 week pre op on Thursday and now that shiz is getting real I have a question! sugar free flavored syrups for Protein shakes....ok or no?
-
Good luck!!
-
I will do that, thank you!! Best of luck to you on your surgery!!

Hi all!
Last week I received my approval for the sleeve, YES!!
This week they called and told me that my approval was a mistake, and the only thing covered is RNY.
So, RNY it is,
My surgery is Oct 13. Originally my employer was prepared to cover me for a week (I work in a very small private office), but with the change, I don't think they'll be able to handle a longer leave for me.
My surgery is on a Tuesday and I plan to return the next Tuesday, with the understanding that I'll do as much as I can, but if I'm having a hard time, I can pull some half days.
Does this sound doable to anyone? Assuming there are no complications?
Thanks in advance!

Uh no thanks, Monday.
Quick question:
I received the approval via my surgeon's office last week for my sleeve.
Today, the hospital called and told me I was only approved for the band and for Reux-en-Y.
I have a call into my surgeon's office but has anyone else had this happen?
Pregnancy and High Blood Pressure
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Hi All. My surgery was 10/13/15 because of chronic HBP and its been normal since then. Now however, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and just had a super high reading of 142/90. I could not eat much at all during my first trimester, specifically meat, milk eggs and yogurt, and so I fear I've been living like my pre-surgery days and eating way too many carbs and Christmas candy and Christmas Cookies. Like, an insane amount, and I'm wondering if maybe this has spiked my blood pressure. Go ahead, nail away!
