@@julbel721 I had the sleeve as well. But I did aspirate some fluid into my lungs so that might have something to do with it. Still working on getting my full lung capacity back!!

@ Biotin mouth spray was a lifesaver for me! But the hospital also gave me some wipe things on a stick that were awesome! As for court 5 days later...hard to say. I am a wuss. I am 9 days post and still get tired really easily so I know I could not do it but I read about women just home that are already cooking, cleaning, caring for children and heading to the gym. So maybe you will be ready. If you are a strong girl and don't let much take you down then you will probably be fine!

Wow...I am 9 days out and still only doing about 2 ounces every 10 minutes. 4 ounces at a time is impressive!!!

@@julbel721 also try a memory foam wedge pillow. I got mine at Bed bath and beyond. Made a huge difference! !

@@julbel721 I am a stomach sleeper too. I am feeling the shifts as well. And I seem to have this irrational fear that I am going to either tear open my inner staples or my outer incisions each time I roll over. Also I don't take my pain meds but at night. I feel I cannot really rest without them. Does anyone else feel this way?

I think this was all my fault...and I am truly sorry. I might have been having a bad moment from being stuck in this house for way too long. I will be way more careful in the future. Myself and Sleevinchica just love this group so much and did not want to see it get lost in the mix or breaking apart. It has been one of the biggest instruments in my recovery.

@SleevinChica actually my surgery was on the 8th so I am 9 days post op!!!

@@pyra28az if you have followed this thread then you should have seen the great live and support we have for each other! This site has been a saving grace for me and I know for many others. I support your desire to create your own support system but you don't have to encourage people away from this site. Post one or two times about your support group it even ever do often. All I am saying is that flooding this site that we love with invites over and over again is a little frustrating to me. Just my own personal opinion. No one elses. I personally want everyone to get all the support they need!

@SleevinChica just sip sip sipping away! I am heading out (for the first time since surgery) to walgreens in a bit to find something for constipation. That seems to be my biggest issue right now. No real pain to speak of. You must be getting soooo excited!!!!! I can't wait to have you on the losers bench with us!!

@@werryd I never meant that anyone should leave the group. And my obviously insensitive comment was not directed at you at all. I sincerely apologize. I was a little frustrated that every time someone would post a comment or a question, someone else would post saying please join our secret group. The first time it was posted i thoght, "well that is sweet, a November group will get started . And hopefully it will be as awesome as this October group!!". But then after each additional comment it was posted again and again. So much so that I felt this was becoming the center of this thread rather then the great advice ,comfort and support we give each other. I am sorry if my comment was offensive, it was merely frustration because I so enjoy this thread and felt a tinge of disappointment when I would get notification of a new message only to come find it was not someone posting a question or comforting word. I honestly did not mean to cause a big deal.

@@Smallfry06 8 day post and feeling the exact same way! The problem for me is tat everything including my medicine has a sweet taste. I just want something savory so bad (anything but broth that is!!). Kev but some lobster bisque soup in the VitaMix last night and I liked the tip of the spoon about three times. It was delicious! !!! But ohhhhhh I paid dearly!!!! Worst gas pains ever...all night..never again!

@@anewme2015 Remember that most of these surgeries go off without a hitch. You are in good hands. My heart hurts for Ron and he is in my prayers everyday but I also have so much faith in his will that I believe he is going to conquer every obstacle before him. Just as I believe in you and your ability to meet this head on and begin your new, healthier life! As Ron would say, 'you've got this!!!'

I am having a harder time with cold beverages...I do okay with room temp but we all know cold protein drink tastes better!! Is anyone else experiencing this??

@@CHLOE12 I personally am doing better each day. My gas pains lasted about 3 days with the worst of it being centered in my left shoulder. I am still gassy so to say but it is not really uncomfortable. My advice to you is don't go into your surgery expecting to feel any particular symtom. Each person is different . I had read and watched so much that I had braced myself for some terrible things that never happened. Some people literally sail thru this surgery so easily. I was not quite one of those but it honestly has not been the ordeal I had created in my mind. If you have any questions, just ask!

@@ChunkyChocolate I was having that problem too. What are they at now? Mine kept wanting to drop between 86 and 88.

@nervousnana .... I am soooo sorry! I can only imagine the range of emotion you are feeling. And the utter disappointment. The bright lining is that your surgery will still happen but I know how hard the pre diet is and what a waste it feels like. Several months ago I had to have a colonoscopy and did the clean out the night before (which is horrid) only to get to the hospital to find they had overbooked the OR and I had been moved to the next week. I cried so much! Hang in there honey! We are all sending huge hugs and prayers your way!!

I have seen both Dexter and Revenge.... Next I am thinking house of cards. Every once in a while I need total nonsense so I watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!!!
