I continuously am having weird thoughts and dreams. I am also buying every product, gadget and contraption anyone suggests to make my transition easier. I think i need to get a grip!! Welcome sweettooth2015! @nervousnana I will keep you in my positive thoughts for you insurance approval! Here we all go!!!!!

My surgery is Oct 7 and pre op Oct 1. So excited!

My pre op is too!! Getting anxious! Started my pre op diet, Off sugar, caffeine, now doing 2 shakes a day & 1 meal at noon.

Hi all! I am having my surgery on 10/2 at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. I am trying to start weaning myself off of my go tos - English muffins, Pasta, rice, coffee, wine, vodka..... I'm realizing how much I really love food, cooking and dining with friends as well so I'm experiencing some anxiety. Does anyone else feel this way? Wanting the surgery, but at the same time saying "oh my God, what am I about to do?" I also can't quite wrap my head around the fact that at this time next year - hell in 6 months, I won't look like I do right at this minute. Anyway, thanks for "listening and good luck to everyone!

@@Laughingmyassoff2015 I am all of the above. I am tired from fighting the insurance company. Excited about the future and feeling good. I have a daughter in college and I can't wait to be able to visit her and walk the campus without have to sit down a dozen times to catch my breath!!! I am nervous about the commitment to change. I know I have the strength and willpower to do it but I also know that part of me will mourn food. Part of this journey for me has been a realization that I genuinely love food. All aspects of it. Unfortunately there are foods that are just not good for me and those are the ones I will miss. Also food is very central and social in our group of friends therefore it is going to impact our social circle as well. My husband is having the surgery shortly after I am and this is a very real issue that we have discussed in detail. And finally I am SCARED. I hate hate hate needles! Did I mention hate? Lol. And let's be real. There are quite a few needles in our immediate future! If they could do this without needles I think i would be golden!! Lol. How about you? How are you feeling? If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? Children? Btw. My heaviest weight was 270. Current weight 261. And my height is 5'2". Will be 44 years old on Sunday.

Good luck to all of you having surgery in Oct. I remember those weeks leading up to surgery. Had mine 8 weeks ago but it already seems like a long time. You will all do great.

Mine is October 6th. And my pre op classes are Sept 23rd also!

I am tentatively scheduled for 10/7 or 10/14. My information was submitted to insurance last week.
