@@kvoneye I had to take magnesium citrate to clean out my colon. You will only be on clear liquids that day the day before surgery. My hospital recommended Propel zero or powerade zero to drink all day because of the loss of electrolytes during this process. Just be careful not to wipe too hard after you go to the bathroom or you will become sore from wiping so much that day.

I have to say I couldn't have done this surgery with out all the well wishes, messages & support from this forum!!! You all are amazing, & we will get through this! Thank-You so much!! I'm still very tired & feeling very bloated. But this is just day 2 after surgery & I feel I'm doing good!!!

Hi everyone!! Surgery went better than expected!! The hardest part was not getting any sleep the night before surgery, & only 2 hrs. at the hospital. Very tired. My first sips of water & protein mix made me a little nauseous in the hospital, but other than that I did really well. Got home yesterday afternoon feeling really good but very tired. The hard part is drinking water & your protein mix. They gave me 5 -1oz cups to put my protein & water in. Drinking 2 of protein mix & 3 waters to be finished in 1 hour. Then I walk after I have those down around the house. Your time is spent sip sip sip you can't take the whole 1 oz at one time, thats what makes it so time consuming, you have to wait a couple of minutes to take the next sip. then walk take vitamins pills etc. I don't know how anybody could work or take care of other's during this 2 week time. My incision's are very minimal with no pain. My stomach slight pain, but I put a heating pad (not too hot) on it & it helped. One thing I did that didn't feel so good, I took pain meds when I went to bed last night. You can have 1or 2, so I thought I need sleep terribly & I took 2, one at a time, I waited 5 min. to take the 2nd one. I felt like they both got stuck for good 2 hrs. but it finally went away. They had told me to wait 10min. before taking a second pill, I will know better nextime. Well I better get off here, I have to go sip sip! Take care everyone! @ He did, last night, said he would get back to us today when he had some glasses to see. I copyied his post from last night. Just got in the room at 8 pm lots of pain too many drugs to walk..won't be able to see wife forgot glasses will try to update tomorrow am.

@@edie091371 & @@irishaggie & @@Tammy479 & @@cole1 & @@Grace2115 Well tomorrow is our date, wishing you all the best of outcomes, I think I'm doing pretty good as far as nerves are concerned, keeping myself busy cleaning house etc. Don't forget your glasses if you wear them! I'm drinking Propel zero all day for my Clear liquids. I take the magnesium citrate at noon, I'm sure that won't be fun!!! I won't be able to keep in touch after today for a few days but will let you know how I'm doing as soon as possible!! Will be thinking about you all!!!! @@irishaggie I was writing this when your message came up on the other site lol!! Hadn't heard from you in awhile & I was going to message you to see if you were still a go!! Glad your still with us on this!!!! Can't wait to see our results!!!!
