  1. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I know it's hard but you should be with somebody better. Someone who will respect you. I understand how you feel. After surgery I had the confidence to leave my husband of 10 years
  2. I have seen so many people on this very site post questions that scare me. I have seen multiple posts from people post op asking what their daily water and or protein goald should be.
  3. Talk to your nutritionist about what your plan allows
  4. I often mix half a frozen banana with my shakes
  5. I don't think that having something soft one day before you're supposed to is very horrible but overall it is a good idea to stick to your plan.
  6. it's really hard to say since everyone recovers differently. At 5 weeks out I was cleared for all foods and with that my energy was starting to come back. I can only speak for myself, but at 5 weeks I felt fine. But disney does involve lots of walking and lots of yummy foods. If you are cleared for all foods by then I would say go enjoy your trip and enjoy tiny bits of all the yummy stuff but stop and sit for a little bit every now and then
  7. You definately need to do more research. This is not just "eating two bites and being full"
  8. The sleeve can be the first step in a DS but it is also highly successful as a stand-alone procedure. My starting weight was un the 400s and i had the sleeve less than a year ago. Down to 220
  9. Eat what you can without feeling overfull. You are healing and don't want to push it
  10. Someone ate bacon a week post op?????
  11. When done correctly your sleeve cannot stret h because that part of the stomach is removed. It may feel like some stretching because once all your swelling goes down you will ve able to eat a little more
  12. I still eat all the foods that make me feel good. My favorite food is sushi, i eat it whenever I want. I have ice cream when I want. I had a burger for dinner tonight.
  13. Yes it could hurt. Your stomach was cut and stapled. Don't you think that needs time to heal?
  14. I honestly don't avoid anything
  15. I found comfort sleeping at a 45degree angle in my recliner for a week
  16. the surgery is major, life altering, permanent surgery. it is a big deal, something you shouldn't take lightly. Of course it's something you should think long and hard about, and cold feet are normal. You need to be honest with yourself about whether or not you really think you can stick to the diet for life. Odds are you are just having cold feet and you will be very happy after you heal from surgery. But you do need to seriously think about it
  17. boil some cauliflower in some salty Water until it is tender. Then puree it with a wedge of laughing cow cheese a baked sweet potato is also yummy. ricotta cheese with some tomato sauce and some mozzarella heated up until the cheese is melty mash up an avocado with a hard boiled egg and a pinch of salt
  18. I get those carnation instant Breakfast high Protein shakes. They have 15g of protein. Then I add 3/4 of a scoop of my premiere Protein powder and some frozen fruit, half a banana or a couple of frozen strawberries.
  19. is alcohol really that important that you would risk having a possible complication during surgery?
  20. these are the only ones I can tolerate. They are actually very good. Almost like a candy bar but with a good amount of Protein. You can get the variety pack in costco
  21. I found out shorty before my surgery when on a weekend trip with my husband and parents. My father was super freaked out because of the horrible noises I was making in my sleep. I had no idea of course. I was so mad at my (soon to be ex) husband for knowing about it and never saying anything about it
  22. how is eating a couple of wings post op crazy? The whole reason to get the sleeve is to have restriction and not to be able to eat a lot. You are doing fine. Any loss is good.
  23. there is no guarantee of anything but just think about it...your body will be carrying less weight, there will be less stress on your bones and joints, you will be able to exercise more which will probably help. Loosing weight will probably help a lot
  24. Very few people know about my surgery. This was a hard enough thing to do without the possibility of unsupportive people and negative comments
  25. Eh this yeat is still going to suck. Getting divorced so not going anywhere with him, the couple of friends I had have sided with him, I'm living with my parents but they are going to a country club my dad's boss invited thrm to, my brother has a date....so it will be just me watching tv alone
