  1. Wow! You have no idea how inspiring it is to read things like this! It's like a little confirmation that all this isn't a scam! And that it works if you work it! Thanks so much. As for everyone else's replies. It's amazing to read things that every one is working towards! I can honestly say I may have already taken inspiration from some of them! (Most of them actually!)
  2. Does anyone have things they are looking forward to finally doing/trying that you felt you couldn't do before!? I personally can not weight (get it! haha) to try rock climbing and getting back into casual bike riding!
  3. Jenyp8409... GREAT PROGRESS!! Looking fantastic!
  4. -Sitting in the chairs at my partners parents house to find that my thighs over spilled from the sides and trying (and failing) to hide it. -Refusing my partners proposal because I dont want to look like this when I get married -Getting off a 16 hour flight to find the backs of my legs/knees and the sides of my thighs bruised black from the seat being too small. Seriously looked as though I had been beaten. Also having to have a scarf over my knees the whole time so nobody could see jus how painfully squished i was.
  5. Hi, I had my consultation in April but with a 3 month overseas holiday it wasn't an option to do it earlier. But today (after a very lovely holiday) I have been to my appointment with the Surgeon to lock in a date- 12th November!! However due to a disgustingly long and indulgent holiday (Austin, Texas- so lots of cocktails and BBQ) I have put on 10kgs more since my original consult in April... I'm not incredibly happy with the weight gain. But it is what it is! I now have to lose 12kgs before the surgery and it has been recommended 6 weeks of Optifast. However right now nothing could possibly make me feel any less than fantastic! I am so excited and I know I am going to succeed. I am so grateful for this forum and the constant encouragement and inspiration. Thats my little word vomit.
  6. Hi everyone... Was wondering if anyone on here is from Newcastle NSW. I would love a buddy to support each other through this!
  7. Sounds like jealousy.. On the same note 5 years ago I started a diet and lost so much weight so fast. And my "best"friends (one of whom I lived with and the other I have been friends with for 15 years) were absolutely horrible to me.. Even sat me down and told me I was "starting to act like the anti-christ". It only took a couple of months for me to realise that I was acting fine. I was happier than ever! It was them!! They were beginning to become very insecure because suddenly I had the confidence to match my personality. And when we went out people FINALLY spoke to me! I suddenly wasn't the "DUFF"! Needless to say I don't need that shit in my life! I am not trying to imply your friends are like that.. Just trying to show that not everyone is what they seem... I really hope they pull their socks up and that they don't turn out to be horrible friends! In the mean time. Hold your head high cause you worthy of a much better squad!
  8. Im in Newcastle... Would love it to have a buddy here!!
  9. You looked beautiful before but your unrecognisable! You beautiful women! Fantastic work!
  10. I'm having my surgery in a couple of months and I am concerned how I will explain the food choices to people whom I do not feel comfortable telling. i.e. my partners very overwhelming, very intense family. They are incredibly judging and I really don't want all the questions and whispers.... Considering my surgery is in November and I will be spending Christmas with them... Is it incredibly lame to make an excuse like stomach ulcers? Has anyone else used an excuse to ward off questions and avoid telling the truth...
