Fitting in a plane seat
I don't know if they changed their policy at Southwest or not, but we had a horribly humiliating flight with them a few years ago. They essentially called my husband out and forced him to buy an extra seat, even though we were flying as a family of 3, in a row of 3 and we had paid extra for early boarding to ensure we sat together. Hubby is a big guy, but doesn't ever need to put the armrest up and didn't need an extender. After the initial embarrassment, on one of our legs, a flight attendant had the gall to find him in his seat (in our little family row) and ask him if he wanted to go sit elsewhere since he paid for an extra seat. Loudly enough for everyone to hear. It was so disgusting I vowed to never fly southwest again. If they had said any of this to me, I would have died right there.

Husband left me!
I'm really sorry. And I hate to say it, but sometimes blessings come in tough times. Best wishes to you. You deserve to be healthy.

Just a thank you...
Aww, welcome! I know I spend way more time here than I ever thought I would, too. It's nice to have a place where everyone "gets it". Happy healing!!

How long were you on pain medicine for at home?
I only took three doses once I came home (about 24 hours after surgery). Can you try liquid Tylenol?

Diarrhea
I'm having the other end of the spectrum, but have you tried probiotics or anything?

Nectar protein powder
Someone on here told me about a sample pack (one per household) that you can order directly from Syntrax. I don't see it anywhere on their site, but if you call, they may still sell it. It was something like 15 packs for $17 total with s/h. (Don't quote me exactly). Here's what I got, minus one or two.

How many vitamins do you take?
I take 4 Bariatric Advantage calcium chewy bites a day (2 and 2 at different times), 2 Celebrate Multivitamin soft chews, 2 Bariatric chewable Iron and Biotin (when I remember). I get B12 shots when I go in for follow ups every six weeks or so. It's an all day process trying to get them all in and not let the calcium negate the iron, etc.

Newbie and Scared
Hello and welcome!! I definitely did this for health reasons first and foremost. I was always ok (but not really) with being the chubby one until my health started to take a dive (diabetes, fatty liver, endometrial cancer). Now, I am 8 weeks out, off all prescriptions and loving the changes I'm seeing. I did 6 (actually 11 months due to the cancer) months of pre surgery weight loss visits. It was nice to start committing to the program, seeing some changes, and having the support I needed to get headed in the right direction. Nothing tastes as good as being healthy for your kids. Best of luck to you on this exciting journey. We are here for you!!!

Lymphedema Treatment
So glad you are getting some relief! I've been anxious about developing lymphedema, especially after having 23 lymph nodes removed during my hysterectomy last summer. Wishing you all the best and continued improvement!

Hello Everyone
I don't have that insurance, but I am from MI. Good luck on hearing some good news tomorrow! I got a date from my surgeon's office before I knew my insurance officially approved it. I guess they were confident enough. (BCBS). So, maybe it's a good sign that you have a "date" already!

Shake Help!
Also if you're allowed coffee or decaf, adding some instant crystals to vanilla or chocolate shakes is pretty yummy!

Excess Skin Issues
My weight loss provider has been documenting my rashes already (8 weeks out) and prescribed me Nystatin powder and cream. It helps.

Boy, I don't know. I posted the pic above and then tried to see if I could delete it, but I don't see a way (I use the app). Hopefully someone smarter than I am will come along and help you out!!

Constipation after surgery
I was advised to take (up to 4 a day) Colace and Miralax, if needed. 1 Colace seems to keep me at a comfy spot.

NUT appointment today!
It's no biggie. It's hard to say what they will cover for you today because my program included many NUT visits, but they may cover: -your current and past eating habits - preop diet -post op diet -long term goals Good luck!

Recovery time
I felt really good after my surgery, but I don't think I would have had the stamina to perform for a wedding. I don't play violin, but I think the posture needed for that amount of time might be difficult. Good luck with your choice!
