  1. I've found I can only eat the oikos triple 0 peach or strawberry. I can not stand any other flavors lol. I just tasted a few until I found the ones I could stand.

I'm not much on yogurt, but I did stumble on that Oikos Triple Zero Greek stuff during the months leading up to my pre-op diet.

I stress that I don't care for yogurt in general.....but this stuff is great.

I'm glad I found out about it. It needs nothing extra to taste really good.

My husband who hasn't had any surgery and isn't overweight (brat lol). Loves the triple zero yogurt too. He actually likes almost all the "healthy" food that I'm eating also. Like the veggie chips (pre op) even my broth I drank lol.
veggie chips? Do you make them or buy them I'm trying to healthy stuff I like ..it's a process

These were before surgery. They were the Veggie Straws from the grocery store. I'll be 7 weeks this Wednesday and should be released to eat home made veggie chips! (Hopefully) lol!!

I'm doing the 6 month medically supervised diet. So I'm going to try these! Thank you ! I hope you get cleared to eat the homemade version veggie chips!

  3. @@StephOnTheMove I'm so sorry you didn't get the response you'd hoped for but I agree with the others here. Your NUT only has your best interest at heart. Since she said you can have pudding, I have a solution for you which can help you get your Protein in and not stress the stitches of your new pouch. There are several flavors to choose from so that should help as well. If I were you, I'd blend it a little longer so it's thinner :D

Premier Protein pudding Cups or Pops

Prepare pudding according to package directions replacing milk with chocolate Premier Protein shake. I prefer to use my NutriBullet. If using shaker, shake for 3 minutes or until thickened slightly. Pour into ½ cup containers for pudding cups. For frozen pops, pour into Jello pudding pop or any popsicle molds. Jello molds hold 1/3 cup each. Pudding cups set in 5 minutes and freezer pops in approx. 2-3 hours. Any flavor sugar-free fat-free pudding works, so get creative and enjoy!

  4. Misty, all my insurance required was that I see my dr once every 30 days and talk about NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING but my weight! How it affects my daily life blah blah blah...it's basically a bi7ch fest about how fat I am for a few minutes. Next she asks what are you going to change this month to try to lose some? Last month I said "I'll ask for non fat milk in my lattes and walk up and down my street a few times a week." She then suggests a low carb diet and I leave. Easy peasy! BUT, whatever you weighed at your PCP office, DONT GO OVER!! You can lose but don't gain!!! Also don't lose so much that your bmi goes below qualifying.

    thank you!

  5. Honestly I would choose bypass or sleeve for you my Surgeon doesn't even do the band anymore with 180 pounds to lose I'm thinking more bypass. I have 140 to lose but I am getting sleeve but that's just because I don't want dumping syndrome

I went to my seminar and i did a lot of research and I also am going to get the sleeve. I go on the 25th to get a referal to goto the surgeon and after that I have to do a 6 month medically supervised diet .(im surprised my insurance covers it.I went into the seminar thinking I would have to selfpay well at least I have money for cosmetic surgery after!)

  6. Make sure you talk with your surgeon about possible complications, healing time, lifestyle before and after, and which surgery will give you personally the best chance of success. Do your own research too!

If you're just beginning the journey, you have some time to decide while complete all of your insurance company and surgeon's requirements for surgery.

Personally, I didn't decide on the bypass until my very last appointment with my surgeon. I told him everything I'd learned through research and he confirmed it would give me the best chance of success. Now I'm scheduled for 9/21.

I promise you'll figure it out! Best of luck!!

    Thank you.

  7. Okay so starting off this journey I wanted to get the lapband. But after talking to a few people, they've said that the lapband is for people that only want to loose 40-60 lbs. Is this correct? Because I'm. 28 year old 5'4 and 325lbs and my bmi is 55. So that being said which surgery would be the best for me to achieve a weight loss of 180lbs so I would be a healthy weight. Thank you in advance!
