NekayLaw got a reaction from Alex Brecher in Why Did You Choose Your Specific Type of Weight Loss Surgery?
I picked the bypass because i need to lose more than 100 pounds. And after talking with my weight loss specialist it seems to be the better option for me.

NekayLaw got a reaction from Alex Brecher in What Is (or Was) Holding You Back from Weight Loss Surgery?
I was in law school trying to lose on my own.. Which if anyone knows the stress with law school it didnt work. So now im on a year vacation from school and working at a place that has good insurance. Having it with kaiser is easier because the requirements are simple. So now im able to actually take the time to get it done.

I know you said no gym........but it is a huge advantage.
$1,200 will cover my family gym membership for 2 years.
You don't have to be in top notch bodybuilder shape to feel comfortable in a gym, trust me.
Show up....do your work.....and leave. Do so as often as your program/schedule allows.
Many folks come in for a few minutes to walk on the treadmill or use the elliptical machines.
Seeing others can motivate you.......being there and humping it yourself will no doubt motivate others.
It's going to be hard to find a strong and stable machine that's going going to last at that price. Trust me....I tried to find one, too.

I don't get sleeved until March 23 but I have already started my Optifast pre-op liquid diet which I am to do until 2 days before my surgery. We won't even talk about how a sista is starvin!!! lol
I, like a lot of folks here, are concerned about hair loss. I keep a perm I have a short cut. Does anyone know wigs, braids, and/or sewn-in weaves will affect the Hair loss? I just want to be prepared. Even on the days when I look "a hot mess" clothing wise, the hair and nails are always "sharp" LOL.
