Looking for Bypass buddies in NY. I'm 28 years old. I'm going to have surgery in Binghamton, Ny on September 24th. Looking for bypass buddies

Usually a surgeon will pressure you into getting a bypass Don if you need to lose more than 100 pounds

Headaches aren't from not eating but, from a lack of nutrients or fluids

I feel you. I'm starving too and 1000 calories a day. I Don't lose weight. Your liver has to shrink for them to operate so they don't damage your liver. Basically the last 28 years of your life you have been maintaining the size of your liver but eating the way they want you to for 5 days to 14 days depending on your doctor. It really does make a difference to do the pre op diet. They won't do the surgery if you don't do it right. They can tell when you didn't do the Pre op diet correctly. The day of surgery they will do a ultrasound to check out your liver and stuff first. If your liver isn't the right size then will send you home. Be strong and follow it. Watch lots of YouTube videos! Good luck!

My surgery is on September 24th. I see the dietitian in two weeks. What foods or liquids should I stock my cabinets up with? What Protein Powder do most people get? I will probably do my shopping at Walmart, target, or green earth (organic food store) what did you eat your first 2 weeks after surgery?

I am looking for a website/or app that can help me with what I can buy in stores. When I go to do my grocery shopping I want to be able to get a sample of what I should and should not eat.

I am 28 years old and I have suffered from obesity since I was 10 years old. I have been on diets since I was 15 years old. I have tried serval weight loss pills, and several food diet including weight watchers, the Atkins diet, and Nutrisystem. I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, and fatty liver. My insurance approved my life changing surgery. I'm having the bypass done in 3 weeks. It's going to be a bumping road.

My insurance approved me for surgery. I want to choose the best surgery. My doctor would like me to lose 100lbs. I want to know which surgery is healthier. I only get two choices and that is the gastric sleeve or the gastric bypass is. I've done so much research and I just can't make up my mind. Help?!?!
What did you do to get out of work for surgery? What did you tell work?

I am guessing most people used sick time, vacation or personal time. I am only going be be using sick home. I have never called in sick. I have over a month in sick time. Not much in vacation and personal days. The only way I can use sick time, is by calling out the day of surgery. I am not up to telling work that I'm getting weight-loss surgery. Work doesn't let you request sick time. I'm trying to figure out what would be the best thing I could say to them. Appendicitis Maybe? Lol
