Lost 45 lbs in 3 months! Couldnt be happier!
-
Hi everyone. ... I hit my 40 pounds lost in 11 weeks. So happy to hit this mark. Its been a harder 2 weeks because Im in a statistics class and my time has been applied to studying. I missed my bike riding this week. Boooo.... but my food has been on point. I did miss my Vitamins two days this week and I told myself dont start a pattern of missing my vitamins... your body needs it. I take Biotin too because we will be losing hair at 3 to 6 months. So far... its just those areas to work on. My surgery buddy and I are finally at the same pounds lost. She was always about 3 lbs ahead of me. I still feel very heavy and for some reason cannot see the 40 pounds off of me. It may be this way for awhile because Ive been heavy for years.

oye. i literally ate like crap all weekend and didn't work out. woke up at 171. smh. my body is crazy. but i'm gonna work hard this week. need to hit that 160 mark for my initial goal. then prolly try to go to 150 and see how that feels. in a size 12 now which is very exciting. i feel smaller than a 12 tho. i joined a gym last week so i can start pushing to the next level. going to hire a trainer too.
You look great. All your hard work is paying off. You knowing whats good to put in your body is huge. Inspiring Chika!

I made 9 weeks out of surgery yesterday.... down 34 lbs.

oookkk....time to change up the workout routine a bit. i think i need to push to the next level so i'm gonna start playing tennis again. it's been almost a year and i left playing at a high level which means all the people i'm going back to play with are still at that level lol. so this is gonna be tough to get back into but screw it. imma do it.
I just bought new skates. 4 wheel skates. I skated today and it was pretty fun. Red skates. Its so nice to be getting outside and feeling great. I haven't done tennis for a long time but will be out there on the court again. Its like riding a bike!

@Rose1up! Yeah it's like no matter how thin or fit or pretty or smart you think you are there is always someone out there thinner or fitter or prettier or smarter LOL. i feel really good right now it's just seeing that video made me cringe but hey i can take full body pix now and that's a first so i just gotta take it in baby steps.
im upping up my workouts this week to really start hitting squats, deadlifts, burpees etc AND cardio so we'll see how that goes. Glad you're feeling better.
xo
Im on call for work this week so my exercise is next to none but this weekend I will be getting it in. Glad you are doing great and your motivation to all is awesome!

Y'all will think I'm crazy but. ...I am now a size 4 and I weigh 132. I'm 7 pounds from my goal. ..I know I have lost a lot of weigh and I have lost 6 pants size but I have days where I think I'm still fat . .will that feeling ever go away.
I dont really know. All of us who have chosen this huge step in life have seen ourselves differently for yeeeeeaaarrrsss.... so now with our bodies losing the weight, we can see it in our clothes and in the mirror but we may still see ourselves as the "before" surgery look. If you still feel that way and you are hurting inside... counseling is good for it. I wont know if I get there if I will be feeling like that or not but Im going to watch myself in case I do. Thats a good topic to discuss.

Oh yeah. ... I was on a liquid and full liquid diet for two weeks then was cleared for regular food. I didnt have to have pureed food.

Hey BariatricPal! It's been a while! But, on February 11th, I was sleeved. I wrote about my experience on my blog:
http://www.bariatricbro.com/bariatric-bro-blog/2016/2/17/post-vertical-sleeve-gastrectomy
If you have any tips for the upcoming pureed foods phases (recipes, ideas) etc. I'd love to hear them!
Congrats on the sleeve! I wish I had a picture of my stomach too. I never saw mine but was told its about the size of a small football. Yours looked big. Its amazing how much our stomach can hold now. I've been sleeved since 1/6/16 and down 29 lbs. I can eat about 1 to 2 oz now.

I am almost 5 months out. I still have days where I don't want to eat. .I concentrate on my Protein and complex carbs. .I get a few bites of each. I am 13 pounds away from my Drs goal for me. .for the air feeling I use the gas ex strips..you got this just hang in there@pr_pitbullgrl.... I still feel fat. I have a long way to go. Everyday is goals amd everyday eating is different. Seems like my liquids are going down better than food right now. My new stomach doesnt like a lot of food in it. Im about an oz to 2 oz of food. I feel like theres a lot of air too. Everyday is a learning curve
Thank you!! Im going to push mooooorrreeeee Water this weekend. I appreciate the advice
