  1. I got the RNY September 23, 2015. I had multiple complications while in the hospital, leading to having another surgery 24 hours after the first one, and a 11 day hospital stay. This has been a long journey, and I'm nowhere where I would like to be, but at least there's progress. post-261274-14731252037361_thumb.jpg

  2. Help!! I've heard from many people that your pouch can stretch, is that true?? How does that happen. My sister who works at Olive Garden said she just had two customers come in who both had the RNY and their pouches stretched and they had to have the surgery done again... What can I do to prevent this from happening? My doctor said it's impossible to stretch your pouch if you don't eat and drink at the same time, or drink carbonated beverages...

Sorry for the freak out, but I'm freaking out.

  3. Help! Since surgery, I have been having bowel movements that were as large as they were before surgery. This worries me since I'm not eating anywhere near the amount of food I was before. I go every 3-4 days, which is normal for me even before surgery. But I shouldn't be going the same amount now as before, right! I'm worried about malnutrition!

  4. Hi everyone! I have began to notice how picky my pouch is! My pouch can't handle anything that's dry, which means I order all meat medium rare or I can't eat it. I can only have meat that is super tender and juicy, which eliminates many restaurants for me. Also, I can't tolerate cheap food, being from a cheap restaurant or grocery store. Do any of you have picky pouches or sleeves?

  5. So I'm about 1 week about of surgery, but while in the hospital there were complications so I needed another surgery, which required to be an open surgery. It's about from right below my breast bone to my belly button. For the past week I haven't been able to sleep at all because of the pain from my stomach, and thriving pain in my tail bone, and I can't sleep on my stomach. When will I be able to sleep on my side or stomach. I'm beginning to really get frustrated

  6. Hi! So I received the RNY gastric bypass on September 23, and just got home out the the hospital yesterday. 11 days in the hospital. I'm in a crazy amount of pain and it's really hard to do simple things like getting out of bed and going to the bathroom. My surgery journey isn't at all what I had planned. What happened was after the first surgery, on the 23, I was throwing up, weak, and other gross things. The doctors checked on me every few minutes because they were worried they were going to lose me. So they rushed me to a different hospital for surgery number 2 to fix the problem found in the c t scan. They said I was born with an abnormally shapened stomach and it has always been larger, and that the weight gain my entire life hasn't been my fault and it was a medical issue! If I hadn't of gotten the surgery they said my stomach would have crushed my spleen. So the second surgery gave me a Omega Loop to help alter routing of my insides. So many things are horrible and went wrong, and I'm really starting to think this was the wrong thing for me. I'm eighteen, and this has been an abnormally amount of anxiety in my life. I have to drop out of classes this semester and quit my job to focus complete on healing. I just needed to share my story so far and look for some encouragement. Also, I'm hungry, is that normal? I'm worried that this didn't work. I eat my puréed food plan me always feel hunger after and like I can eat more. Advice?
