Tssiemer, that's great you started a diet and are gonna try to lose some weight before. It will make things easier for you. A stuff pepper sounds so freaking good. It probably wasn't all bad for you. Bloomer, the diet is definitely hard no matter what. I found it easiest to just wait the week of surgery or the last 3 days to just be strict. Even though that's totally breaking the diet but I feel like they just don't understand how hard this really is. They also say that we won't be hungry and that's a lie. I just don't get the growling of the stomach. It's weird. I mean I wasn't hungry for the first couple days but I was so ready for food by my 1st week. Eating is really weird and swallowing.

Bloomer, that's what I did if I needed something to eat. Just watched what I ate. Your losing weight so your liver will be fine. I give props to anyone who stays 100 percent on the diet n doesn't cheat one bit. Cooking for the family n having kids is rough. I didn't cook. I let them cook their own. I wanted my husband just to eat chipotle or skyline since I don't like those that much but when your starving, anything works lol. It made it worse for me while at work too since everyone could eat what they want. My manager is always eating. It also sucked with the smell of outback. Omg.....your gonna do just fine. We aren't perfect.

Bloomer that's good your doing great. I definitely give you props. Your a strong women! It's hard having kids too. That's great about losing weight already too Tssiemer, I don't blame you one bit for staying in your room with Netflix lol. It's torture watching food commercials even. It seems they pop up more then ever lol. How did your celebration go by the way?

Bloomer, how ya doing? I had a hard time with 2 n 3 day. Usually the 4th day it gets easier. Tssiemer, hope you had a great night tonight So I got put on some new sleep medicine and I took it last night. Well it screwed me up so bad that I was hallucinating and my husband had to help me to bed. I have felt drugged all day and haven't been feeling the best. I have a bladder infection right now too. But I am off for the next 3 days so I pray I will be normal by tommrow.

Bloomer, are you doing okay? It's the next couple days that will be rough. I wasn't a 100 percent on it so it will be okay if you slip up some how. Tssiemer, idk if I've seen the trailer for the boss. I might of. We watch TV but mainly our daughter does lol.

Thank you guys. I feel like I've been on a little stall but the scale is moving again. Usually hits around the monthly time of course. Tssiemer, that's exciting that your going out to celebrate. What movie are you going too? Bcostasbiggs, how is the pre op diet going? When is your surgery? The diet sucks and I'm sorry you gotta do it. To be honest, I didn't really stick to it like I was supposed too. It's alot harder then what the doctors think.

Tssiemer, don't feel guilty at all. Your allowed to have fun before surgery and you definitely should enjoy these moments because you won't be able to enjoy those moments again pretty much. Carbs are so filling right now. I eat them and then feel so sick. I wish they sat okay. Maybe they will with you though.

Oh my goodness. There's no way to sleep with that thing on. I'm sorry! That's no fun at all. Idk how they expect people to sleep with those. I hope the surgery helps with not having that anymore eventually. Bloomer, it went great. Their scale said I'm 234. But Ivan is happy about my progress. It was really embrassing because my appointment was at 6pm tonight so I was the last patient, well I was a few mins late due to my manager keeping me until 5 and traffic but I walked into the office with everyone standing there waiting on me. Ivan, the girl who takes us back, 2 receptionists, and dee. They joked and said they were having a waiting party for me. I didn't expect them all to be there.

Is it loud? I'm sorry you can't sleep either. Idk what's going on and why my body just feels so restless. I walk alot n I drink water. I just feel restless when I take a medicine with a sedation in it. Like I take ibs medicine and it used to help me sleep at night but does the opposite. Nyquil n zofran are the same way. I hope to get some answers later.

I am having trouble sleeping now since surgery though so I'm definitely talking to Dr. Ivan tommrow about it. I feel like I have restless leg syndrome but with my whole body. I hope he can help me out.

We are always gonna have someone like that in our life I guess and we just have to learn to ignore them. I do sleep. It seems like I never do though lol. I usually sleep anytime after 2am til about 11am or so. I sometimes work at 1030 or 11am so sometimes up before 10am. We are late night people. Even my 3 year old.

So, I have this 1 aunt who is my mom's sister and she's a greedy person. All she cares about is money. She hasn't been my favorite aunt my whole life. She cuts my hair so that's why I pretty much stay around. I have 2 more aunts on that side but anways, she is so obsessed with me and my surgery. She's even admitted that she's jealous of me doing this and having the opportunity to do it. She texted me today and asked how things were. I said I have probably lost about 10 pounds since I saw her a month ago, she replied back with a Wow, you've only lost 10 pounds since I saw you? Are you supposed to lose that slow? Then changed her mind and said congrats and she's proud of me. I'm not discouraged or anything by her remark. Just kind of mad about it in a way. Like 10 pounds is a pretty good amount in a month I think. I mean I'm not just going to shrink into a thin person. I won't ever consider myself thin either. I kind of expected those words to come out of her mouth though some time down the line. I mean, I'm losing weight and that's all that matters to me. I just want to be down to 200. I will probably lose more but if that's where I get stuck, I'm fine. I will be able to do the things I wanna do and feel happy. I feel my confidence coming back.

Bloomer, we have to use 1% or skim I think as milk wise. I've never liked skim and milk doesn't sit well with me as is but I will try it again some time. I wish protein shakes were alot better then they are and my stomach wasn't so sensitive. The 2 week pre op is pretty hard and definitely try and eat as much as you guys can and enjoy those foods. It's only temporary though. I see Ivan on Wednesday night. I need to lose 2 more pounds and will have lost 20 pounds since I've seen them last. I hope I can do it or it happens lol. Tssiemer, I've never been to the cheesecake factory. Well I haven't ate there. Only the cheese cake. I've heard it's really good. Maybe some day I can go there. My favorite is Longhorn and Cracker barrel.

I did. Thank god! They are pretty big too. I wish the showers were a little bigger but West Chester is really nice and they take care of you. I was upset that Dr.Thompson never came to see me. He has his assistants or whoever they are come in. I also wanted liquid medicine like tylenol or something along those lines since pills aren't very friendly right after surgery but they wouldn't try it. They just didn't try to keep me from throwing up my iv medicines either. They just keep pushing you so you can go home pretty much. I didn't want my pain medicine or nausea medicine after all of that plus it wasn't that bad for me which they made me keep taking them. Idk. I just feel like if I was fine enough or didn't want the medicine then it should of been okay, you know? But they do come right away to help out and to make sure we are okay.

Bloomer, I started getting hungry like a week or so after surgery. It wasn't head hunger either. Like we get really hungry like our stomachs are gonna growl but they dont. It's really weird. I found myself not keeping full on jello and broth. I don't do the shakes since they just hurt my stomach. I tried talking to the nutritionist about my stomach issues but she never tried helping me. She would just tell me what I had to do. I'm watching what I eat. And we won't gain weight or not lose any since we definitely cut our portions down. You will be amazed at how fast you get full.

Bloomer, it's April! Can you believe it? I am so excited for you guys. I can't wait for you guys to be on this journey with me. We all should definitely meet up sometime to finally meet. I am 7 weeks post op already.....I feel like March flew by. I'm at 231 I believe. I started my monthly so I don't lose and I'm bloated a bit so the scale doesn't read right at that time lol. I see Ivan on Wednesday. I was supposed to see him last week but got sick with a sinus infection. I've lost 18 pounds since their 2 week check up appointment. Which was Feb 24th. I want to lose 2 more so I can he down 20. I've been walking alot at work. Since I work in retail and our store is kind of long. I at least do over 6000. Not much but it's better then nothing lol. I have a swimming pool so this summer will definitely do that. I do feel a difference in my body now. It's nice. The most thing I hate right now is I've got restless leg syndrome or insomnia. My body doesn't want to stop moving but my mind and eyes are so tired. I'm talking to Ivan about this. It sucks. And to be honest, I'm not doing the phase diets anymore. I pretty much eat what I want. I watch what I eat obviously. I crave fruit and veggies alot. I've been obsessed with broccoli lol. Bananas don't sit well, they sit heavy. Applesauce does that too. I want a salad but haven't tried it yet. I plan too soon.

I'm going to be honest...I was horrible at doing my 2 week liquid diet, I didn't even really do it until the week before. I just made sure I was clean for 3 days before and ate light stuff. I also don't even do protein drinks now. Haven't since my liquid diet. I have a sensitive stomach. I have ibs. So they never sat well with me. Alot of the protein drinks have milk too and that's so hard on my stomach. I loved premier protein but ended up almost throwing up later on. I tried organic protein powder and it was like drinking chalk. I tried the nectar stuff everyone talks about but it has a horrible taste too. Alot of the people are doing unjury unflavored or something else, can't remember. I was at home most of the time when I did drink them. I also found that drinking them at room temperature, worked better so I never did anything cold. Also after surgery, it's gonna hurt drinking cold water the 1st couple days, so room temperature is the best way. Sorry I'm not much help.

    Nervous about surgery

I totally understand where your coming from. I only told family members and some friends. I mean it's only necessary to let the people who matter know. Don't be ashamed though. This isn't an easy way of life. Alot of people just don't understand. Be proud of all that your going to sacrifice and everything that's gonna come from it

Tssiemer, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It's no fun losing someone we get close too at work. Drugs are horrible and people don't realize how dangerous they really are. It's taking over the world. It's sad. I hope you will be okay.
