  1. No Bm issues here. Sometimes I may skip a day but I don't worry about it. Today, for lunch, I had 1 slice of Swiss cheese with one slice of turkey on top then spread a laughing cow wedge rolled it up and sliced into small pieces. I chewed it very well. It went down ok but had to walk around a bit for it to slide down. It was delicious and satisfying and best of all I calculated it be 16.5 grams of Protein. I cannot tolerate the Protein Shakes anymore, they upset my stomach. Still struggling with Water due to nausea. Down 32 lbs.

  2. Hi Everyone!! I was sleeved on the 20th as well. I'm struggling with head hunger and looking forward to the puréed food I start on Wednesday. My hw was 240,sw 225 and today's weight 214. Some of the puréed foods I have lined up are fat free refried Beans with some melted cheddar and low fat sour cream, cottage cheese mixed with sugar free apricot jam and a ricotta bake. Also, I bought some chunky navy bean and lentil Soups to purée. YUM!!!!

  3. I was sleeved on the 20th as well. This is day 3 for me. I was miserable to and instantly thought what did I do to myself. I do feel better today but I am no where near meeting my liquid and Protein goals. Gas spasms in stomach are lessening and are not as strong as they were. I can't use my cpap cause it causes me to have more gas. Still hoping each day I feel stronger. I am more awake today. I to thought I would be one to handle this easily but boy was I wrong!!

  4. Hi. I'm a January/February 2016 sleeve also. I started in August and was initially disappointed about my 6 month monitored weight requirement but now I don't mind. The holidays are stressful enough, I don't need to throw a surgery and life changing event in the middle of them. I've been researching what to eat at all the different phases so I feel I will be well prepared. Looking forward to speaking with you all as we go through this together.

  5. So BCBS requires six months of recorded weight. This is my second month. I had no other appointments with my surgeon this month and was told I didn't need an appointment to be weighed. So I drove the 40 minutes to his office this morning, took time off of work, only to be told that the insurance changed. They now require you to be seen by the doctor every time you need your weight recorded. There were no doctors in the office until 1:00 pm today so they could not squeeze me in. Now I'm taking more time off of work to go back on Monday. It would have been nice if they called. Oh well, I just wanted to give those with BCBS coverage the information in case they want to give their doctor a call and schedule any needed weigh ins. Have a good day all!!

  6. Hi every one! I have just started my 6 month monitored weight loss required by my insurance company. My estimated surgery date is in January 2016. I am in a lot of pain daily due to a herniated disc in my lower back with pain radiating into my left hip and thigh. I was wondering if the VSG has helped anyone with similar pain. I've had many epidural injections in the past and was considering surgery for it until I started my WLS journey. I'm hoping the pain will subside with weight loss. Please share any similar stories. Thanks so much!!!

  7. No date yet. Just starting the process. I haven't told many friends at all about this. The one good friend I did just looked at me and rolled her eyes. It really hurt me when she did that and now I will never bring it up again. She's always dieting and is thin. I think she may be afraid I'll be thinner than her when I'm done. I hope I am!! Lol!

  8. Hi. I have my consultation today and am afraid I will be diagnosed with this very same problem. I just don't want to delay the process any further but I understand it's for my own good. I to wake up exhausted every day and have suspected for awhile I have sleep apnea as my husband tells me my snoring is terrible. I am so excited for this surgery and I'm impatient. Good luck to you. Do you have a surgery date yet?
