  1. I was and am a little sore I'll be one week out tomorrow. I had a morphine button to push after surgery and then switched to pain pills. I would call every 4 hours for meds. I haven't taken my pain meds in 2 days now. My sorest spot is where my drain was. They left it open and my husband helps change my bandages. Healing pretty good though. I walk a lot almost all day at home and it helps pretty good. Just have a little soreness but nothing major. Good luck!!

  2. I only have a 10 day diet. One week with shakes, SF Jello and Popsicles, 2-4oz lean Protein and 1/2 cup of steamed veggies. The last 3 days is full liquids. With shakes, broth or no fat yogurt, as well as the Popsicles and jello. My surgery is weds. I did have a couple bites today of food but nothing horrible and not a lot. Literally maybe 3 small bites while I was cooking for a party but I still feel bad because I didn't even realize I did it at first.

  3. I'm having the lapband removed and revising to the gastric bypass. I should've done that surgery to begin with. Hoping to either get it done at the end of May of beginning of June. My insurance before sent me to Journey Clinic in Moore which is in Norman now. I'm sticking with them because my surgeon did really great the first time. :)

is it called OWLO by chance? Dr. KEITH?

I'm in Norman and seeing Dr Keith. My surgery date is 9/9!!! Getting close eeeekkkk

    Lol

  4. I agree with the Tervis Tumbler comment I'm obsessed with them (I have 20) they come in all kinds of designs anything you can think of pretty much. I also use a Yeti Rambler they're more expensive but keep ice for a long time. I've even had ice the next afternoon left in my cup!! I use the great value brand sugar free caffeine free peach tea to mix sometimes.

  5. I was diagnosed with mild obstructive sleep apnea and got my CPAP about a week and a half ago. I hate it. My level is a 6 they say but I wake up feeling like its way too much. I wake up feeling exhausted. I go back in next week for my 2 week CPAP check. I use the pillows also. My surgery date is 9/9!! Getting excited!!

  6. I'm still preop but I've heard a lot of people using the PB2 Peanut Butter powder and adding it or the coffee syrups just sugar free. They are by the coffee, it's Tocani or something like that I believe. Also sugar free pudding mix. These are just some things I heard in my research and my support group.

Also you may be able to find some good ideas on Pinterest if you're on there. I have a secret board that I use for sleeve info and recipes. My surgery date is 9/9. ;)

  7. I figured the sooner the better no need to put it off. I have three young boys to take care of and I wanted to get healthier as fast as I could for them. I was lucky enough to not have to do a 3 or 6 month supervised diet. I wish I would have started a little sooner so I could have done it during the summer but I'm just thankful that I'm allowed to do it at all ;)

  8. Hello everyone I am new to the forum. My name is Crystal, I am 32. I have been married for over 12 and a half years, and we have 10 year old twins and a 5 year old (all boys!!) I have been overweight pretty much my whole life (or as far as I can remember). I've done dieting and medication, Herbalife and a couple other plans like that.

June 18th I went and had my first appointment with the bariatric surgeon. I didn't have many prerequisites from our insurance (BCBS of IL). My BMI is 55.8. I finished everything very quickly but was diagnosed with Mild Obstructive sleep Apnea. I go on the 17th to get the CPAP machine. I'm currently waiting on the approval from our insurance and my dr requires me to be on CPAP for 2 weeks before surgery. I'm hoping it hurries up and gets approved and I can get my surgery over with!!

My husband used to be completely against any form of bariatric surgery, we finally sat down and talked about it and he has been so supportive ever since. I just can't wait!! I just wanted to say hello to everyone!! This is our family last December!!!
