  1. That soon after surgery you will prob be on purées or soft foods depending on your plan. I've noticed almost everyone is different lol. We've had cookouts, and went out to eat since a few days post op. I stick to my plan and everyone supports me. We had a friend have a BBQ at their house just a week post op and she made me some broth with out even saying anything.

Now that I'm almost 7 weeks post op I still stick to my own but now it's easier. I can eat lean ground meats and steamed veggies or Beans. So I make that as part as our meal. I'll order chili or other soft foods when out to eat. I've lost 43lbs (including 9lbs from 10 day pre diet)

  2. I've found I can only eat the oikos triple 0 peach or strawberry. I can not stand any other flavors lol. I just tasted a few until I found the ones I could stand.

I'm not much on yogurt, but I did stumble on that Oikos Triple Zero Greek stuff during the months leading up to my pre-op diet.

I stress that I don't care for yogurt in general.....but this stuff is great.

I'm glad I found out about it. It needs nothing extra to taste really good.

My husband who hasn't had any surgery and isn't overweight (brat lol). Loves the triple zero yogurt too. He actually likes almost all the "healthy" food that I'm eating also. Like the veggie chips (pre op) even my broth I drank lol.
veggie chips? Do you make them or buy them I'm trying to healthy stuff I like ..it's a process

These were before surgery. They were the Veggie Straws from the grocery store. I'll be 7 weeks this Wednesday and should be released to eat home made veggie chips! (Hopefully) lol!!

  4. I'm in Oklahoma and had my surgery 9/9 (6 weeks today!!) and I didn't have to lose anything. I started at 319lbs. I think it has to do with the dr and your insurance if you have it. A friend of mine is in Florida and her dr and insurance wants her to lose 25lbs before surgery but aren't too strict on it they said. If she looses like 15-20lbs they will still do surgery.

  5. So yay for me lol. I got a sinus infection and I'm 3 weeks post op today. I can drink Water and feel fine but when I try to drink my shakes I feel very nauseous and can't drink much. It's only been yesterday and today but I know I'm not getting my Protein in. I'm trying but I can't just yet. I'm supposed to get 3 a day and can barely finish one and nothing the rest of the day. I know it won't last long but it's driving me nuts because I know I need to get it all down. I feel drained today and feel a nap will probably make me feel a bit better so I will try more shake later. Anyone have this issue? Any suggestions would be great.

  6. I had to have two as well. It was extremely difficult to sleep. They said I have mild sleep apnea and gave me a CPAP as well. I hate it. I wake up more than I ever have before. I will wear it for the 6 hours required right now (for ins purposes) and take it off. I sleep so much better with out it. My pressure is only a 5.5 lowest setting is 4. I look horrible but here was mine. post-260311-14432978287508_thumb.jpg

  7. I actually tried the pintos and cheese from Taco Bell today about 3 hours ago and have had no issues what so ever. My dr and nut do not have me on any other restrictions other than what I posted above. I obviously wouldn't try and "cheat" this early out so there aren't any worries there. I've read many people that said they tried homemade turkey chili puréed as one of their first foods and loved it. So I may just try that. Thank you.
