  1. Good luck with everything! It will get easier with time! I'm almost 2 weeks post op. I know the struggle of NYC and oh God the awesome good food!Funny thing is I went to NYC the week before my surgery (I live in Jersey), my sisters ate pizza, and I couldn't have one slice. However eating healthy in the city is not hard at all they have all sorts of healthy restaurants that cater to everyone needs. I kind of regret not having that slice of pizza because I've been craving for it lol but i know I can fight this temptation. Every Time I feel like eating unhealthy I come on here and look at people's before and after photos for inspiration.
  2. I was sleeved on 7/29 as well. I start my stage 2 diet on Thursday where I can eat eggs, fish, soft cooked veggies. I'm assuming all surgeon diets are different. I was able to have 1tb spoon of oatmeal during this stage, besides my protein shakes and broth.
  3. God bless! This is gonna be the best decision you ever made! I'll be 2 weeks post op on Wednesday. I kept asking myself is this real. It all hit me once I checked in on surgery day. I wasn't nervous or scared. I had already prayed about the situation and asked God for a speedy recovery. I'm doing well and I'm looking forward to a new beginning.
  4. I was sleeved on July 29th. I feel great. I'm so ready to go back to work. However I work in customer care so I sit a lot. 1 week might not be enough for a person that move around a lot because you still have achy moments! Good luck with your surgery I'm in NJ by the way.

Yes! I have been taking my pain meds mainly at night. I'm so uncomfortable and I usually sleep on my side but that has been a challenge. I was even considering buying a recliner but according to a few other post I saw it appears that the discomfort while sleeping usually goes away in about 2 weeks.

I was only able to get about 40oz yesterday! My doctor told me to try to get in at least 6 oz per hour which is extremely hard to do. I have a sensitivity to cold drinks! I can only drink my shakes or water at room temp or it makes me nauseated. I'm trying to take it a day at a time. I check back in with the Dr. on Wednesday.
