Welcome to the forum. Make sure you ask all of the questions you may have. I think all of us are excited and nervous.

I was asked to eliminate all carbonated beverages. I cut those out 6 weeks ago so I could get in the habit of not having them. It has not been bad at all.

Yes, I bought one about 6 weeks ago just to track my steps. It keeps me focused on number of steps and keeps me parking far away from buildings to get more steps in.
Good luck!

Don't worry. You will be given a couple of antibiotics to take for two weeks prior to surgery.
You should be fine.

Join the group. I was surprised when they called me last week and told me to start taking 50,000 of Vitamin D once a week. I feel a bit more energy since I started taking it.

Hi. I am going through the program at Beth Israel Deaconess in Milton. Have completed all the tests, sonogram, psychological eval, met with NUT. Next week I meet with Dr. who provides medical clearance, and meet with NUT to see if I have lost any weight in 3 weeks. After this they decide if I am good to go, then I meet surgeon and get surgery date.
Cheers.

I got a fitbit on July 11 and it died on August 11...I was up to 7500 steps a day. My replacement should arrive tomorrow and I cannot wait. I find that it keeps me really focused on my goal of walking. I found myself walking more, parking farther away, etc.
I like it a lot and it helps me.
