  1. WELCOME! I am pre op and I am hoping to have surgery on Dec 22 . This is a great place to ask questions and research!
  2. I think it depends ... I have Aetna and so far I have paid $30 copayment for surgeon consult, $30 copayfor psych evaluation, $250 for NUT, I am not sure how much my copay will be for medical testing. But once insurance approves I will have a $250 deductible.
  3. Update please!!Let us know when you hear the news !
  4. Technically yes. I forgot it's a net gain. silly me!
  5. I'm scheduled for Dec. 22! I know exactly how you feel! The time will fly by and that date will be here before we know it!
  6. YOUR Surgery is tomorrow !!!! So excited for you! Keep us posted!
  7. TMI ALERT! I'm getting nervous! I've lost 5 lbs since I last saw my nutritionist and this morning I weighed myself and all the weight that I lost appeared. I know it's because of my monthly visitor but I can not gain weight (insurance purposes). I'm trying to avoid salty foods and walk . What else can I do? Has this happened to anyone else around weigh in time?
  8. Congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you!
  9. Hi ! Congrats! I have a question! I also have Aetna, were you required to see an exercise specialist or anything exercise related? Did you have to submit proof of previous weight loss attempts?
  10. Congrats!!!! So happy for you!
  11. Congrats !!! That's great news!
  12. Hello everyone! I started my journey on Sept 1, I have met with the surgeon, had my psych evaluation, NUT consult , and I am scheduled for my first nut weighin in early October. My insurance company (Aetna) requires a 3 month program so I should be finished on December 1 (the day of my last weigh in). My coordinator has scheduled my surgery for Dec 15. Should I reschedule to the 22nd to allow Aetna some time or should I pray and hope for the best. What would you do ? -Tiffany
  13. You are amazing !!!!
  14. Quick update. My new insurance covers the surgery!!! I am so happy one step closer!
  15. This is a good question! I have a 16 month old who still nurses and I am worried about that. My surgeon said that I could still nurse but there is a chance that my milk supply could slow down the first few days after surgery
  16. Very happy for you! Keep us informed!
  17. I am still in the process of gathering all the info I need to get approved. My last NUT visit is Dec 1 and surgery is scheduled for December 15. I'm praying for a fast positive decision. I guess it depends on the surgeon.
