  1. I had the sleeve on 1/29/16. I don't regret my decision one bit but I want to advise you on things I'd wish I'd followed: 1. Get your daily Doctor recommend Protein in however you can. And Take the Vitamins. I'm 4 months post op and have started losing lots of hair at the root!! Yikes!!! I couldn't stomach the vitamins the first few weeks and barely started getting in the protein 1 month ago because I was not at all hungry. Drink the Protein drinks with the most protein i.e. Premiere protein drinks, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury 2. Exercise - even if it's the elliptical or walking 10 min a day to start. It will break your plateaus. 3. Energy - I was exhausted the first 2 months post op. Healing and eating so little exhausts you. I started to feel incredible energy gains about 3 months post op. I've started Orange theory (1 hour each) workouts and I can do the whole session albeit awkward and slow but I can do it!!! Good luck on your journey!! HW 284 CW 210 GW 170

    Tachycardic

I haven't gone through exactly what you have with this issue. Try to breathe. Don't worry forward- it will only make you feel worse and it will 100 % not help at all. Just trust that they will pinpoint the exact cause and have a precise treatment. The Medical field has come a long way. There are heart docs that have spent decades in this field and save lives every day. I have PVCs which was diagnosed when I was pregnant. It's a benign condition. It doesn't sound similar a to yours but they did a heart ultrasound and a 24 hour halter heart monitor and figured it out with a week. It's a blessing that they've discovered this now before it causes serious issues. Breathe, pray and talk to people who will listen and calm you down. Keep busy to keep your mind off of it. Help others, listen to them share on their problems. You'll be helping a friend and easing your anxiety. This is coming from someone whose had anxiety since I was 13 years old. Hugs to you!

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I've been losing a ton of hair at the root. Started Biotin over a week ago. Feeling upset about my full head of hair getting skimpy and more skimpy by day. Anyone else going through this?

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I started orange theory workouts and I stopped plateauing. Is your b12 level ok per your doc? I was also very tired until the past 2 weeks. Keep at it and add that exercise. My doctor said that there is no better time to lose weight then the first year after our surgery. So we have to take advantage of this time period.

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

How is everyone doing? How many calories are you eating daily in average? Most days I'm 500-600 but 1 of 10 I get to 900/1000. It's all healthy but I notice I eat more when I don't hydrate enough. I plateaued for 2 weeks but once I added exercise at Orange Theory - which is amazing!! (Try it and Tell them I sent you!) I started losing again. HW 284 CW 214 GW 170

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I agree the high fat helps hunger. I'm still figuring this out but I think carbs and sugar are evil (jk sort of ) so I rarely eat them. I need to figure out which carbs will help my energy though since after a few days of no carbs I feel run down. What an interesting journey we are on. I was sharing with my friend that this really isn't easy and that we have to stick to a healthy diet high in protien and we have to exercise like everyone else who wants to be healthy and the helpful part of this tool is that it stops me from overeating so I'm thankful for that. Glad to hear you're losing 1-2 lbs per week!! Keep it up!

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

Hi guys! Wanted to check in and see how folks are doing with eating habits/food selection and hunger. I can eat just about anything now. I rarely eat carbs. I have been sticking to the nutrition plan except for during dinner with my family where I eat a small amount of whatever they are eating. Sometimes we have enchiladas sometimes we have burgers without the bun, taco (minus shell) stuff like that. How are you guys doing as it relates to eating with family? Also, sadly during the last few days my hunger has returned with a vengeance. I still eat about 4 to 5 ounces per meal. I have added 2 healthy Snacks due to hunger. Has anybody else experienced the hunger returning? I am struggling to stop eating right when I "don't feel hungry" instead of when I feel gross full. Some habits die hard. But I'm working on it! I'm down about 55 lbs.

    Inability to Eat

Try to eat food as fuel. You will move past this feeling. Just like you fill your tank when your car is almost empty; fill it up with items that give you the most Protein. Sip your fluids, something you can actually drink all day. I like Powerade zero grape. I'm not getting 64 oz in but I drink as much as I can when I remember to. I think a support group or therapist would help as well. Hang in there and don't give up.
  17. I felt the same way. Once you get to sift and moist it will be better. Like the others said find a hobby, app, activity that you like to replace it. Hang in there

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I think each of us are so different. I know it's hard but try not to get hung up on only the weight on the scale but also on how your clothes feel and how you feel. A friend of mine who also had the surgery lost a smaller than average amount of weight for the first three months. However now she is losing 1 to 2 pounds a week. It will just take time to lose the weight just as it took time to come on. I know the surgery it seems like it should go much faster and for some it does but I know for some of my friends it has taken longer than they want it to. Hang in there it will get better and you will move past your plateau. I'm rooting for you!

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I understand completely! I too, have fallen off the wagon. I did manage to drop one more pound, but have had this terrible craving for sweets. I caved and bought a box of girl scout Cookies, and have been eating 1 or 2 a day! Thank God they are gone, but I have to gain control over my cravings. It's so hard right now for some reason. Everything in life is good so not stress eating. I have been walking the dog (something I could only do for 5 minutes before), and getting on my Gazelle. I bought a bicycle and am anxious for the weather to break so I can ride. I think I'm just boredom eating sweets maybe. Like you I have trouble getting in my needed fluids. Congrat's on the weight loss! Isn't it a great feeling to be lighter and knowing summer is just around the corner! ---------------------------------------------- I understand, just think before surgery we could have eaten the entire box in one day! I think if we can master the art of moderation we will be successful in the long run. I do feel much better being lighter. My knees don't hurt and I can walk my kids to school (1.5 miles). I don't regret the surgery one bit. I think the issues I'm facing are emotional since before I ate junk and felt like crap after. Now it's actually better but there are still some go to habits/emotions that start to creep back. Lots of work to do. But also new fun things to enjoy like loose pants, more energy, not feeling guilty and disgusting after I eat. My kids are proud of me. I feel prettier too. I wish you all the best with your sweet tooth. Try no sugar added fudgcycles or sugar free pudding. I bet there are sugar free cookies. We can do this!!!!!

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

Sleeved 1/29. Down 43lbs. Will be at week 6 this Friday. On soft and moist until 3/18. I've started working out or walking every other day. I've been majorly slacking on Fluid intake so I feel hungry!! I need to get back on hydration, it's just so annoying the constant sipping. I've alway been a terrible cook so I'm sick of the same old foods. Sorry for the whining this is just a strange past few days for me.... I was feeling really good until a really stressful day last week at work. I wanted to eat junk badly. Then I started thinking will I ever escape this need to feed my stress? The negative feelings just sort of spilled into the next few days..... The momentum is still going in the right direction but my emotions and hunger aren't....

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

I try, but I can't stand when my food gets cold. It makes me gag! So I do think that's why I have a tendency to eat quicker. As far as soups, tea, or coffee, I bought myself a coffee warmer which has helped, but other meals I have to keep reheating in the microwave. Pain in the butt! If we go out for breakfast out my egg definately gets cold fast, and I just won't finish it. I love the coffee warmer idea. Thanks!

My nut said to eat over 20-30 minutes but with like only 5 bites I can't do it. Are you all taking 20-30 min?
