  1. I AM FREAKING OUT. I just got home from a loooong day of class (12 hours) and I weighed out of curiosity... and I am UNDER 200! I'm glad no one was here with me to see me breaking down and sobbing like a toddler but my goodness! I can't believe I'm here, and it actually happened! Please celebrate this moment with me! http://imgur.com/a/4RcuL

  2. Trying out two 15-minute vigorous workouts a day, one when I wake up and one before bed, to see if it improves my metabolism and general tiredness. Cross your fingers!

  3. I've been stalled for most of this month. But today I stepped on the scale and was pleasantly surprised to see that I'm exactly 100 pounds down since surgery, and 155 down since my highest. I can barely believe it!

  4. Excited to meet the surgeon next Tuesday!

  5. 42 pounds to reach goal weight. AMAZING.

  6. It's a heart-crushing feeling when you're told that your knee is almost certainly going to prevent you from running... ever again. There goals one of the biggest exercise goals I was looking forward to. D:

Cervidae,if you like running, consider doing it in the water. lots of you tube video for you to learn more about it. I have been doing it for over three months and see a difference and most of all, enjoy it! I use a shuffle ipod under my water proof hat and listen to music to get me going. What a difference! I hope you like swimming and can give it a try.

  7. That super frustrating moment when you've lost over a hundred pounds but you are still quite plus size, and nothing fits but new clothes are super expensive because you are still in high sizes... and it's winter so you're freezing your new, smaller butt off. >.<

do you have thrift stores nearby? I've found a few items that I was able to either alter or make do. If you sew or know someone who does, maybe they can take in the items to buy you some time. Plus no need to have a full wardrobe until you reach goal size. It would be great if there were a local clothing exchange as well, where someone losing weight would donate clothes and be able to take some without exchange of money.

I wish you the best and know it will be a great and wonderful experience for you .. an me,e ventually. lol

the consult went well, however, I'll need a cardiac risk assessment appt before getting a surgery date. Not sure how long that will be but I'm thinking it will throw me off the schedule for a few weeks at best. In the meantime, I'll continue doing the best I can to lose weight and exercise and learn about needed dietary changes. Oh and while I thought that I would get gastric bypass, the surgeon believes a sleeve surgery would be best for me, most likely based on my medical history and future needs. I'm good with that too! Hope your appt went well. Let me know.

  10. Yesterday, I stepped on the scale and was chagrined to find that I was still 1 pound away from a big milestone, as I had been for the past almost 2 weeks. Today I woke up and I lost two pounds overnight, which officially puts me 101 pounds less than my heaviest weight ever. It's a surreal feeling, mainly because I still have such a looong way to go, and I can hardly remember what it felt like to be a hundred pounds heavier than this. This time last year, I felt hopeless, worthless, and like I would never feel good about myself again. I was prepared, at age 22, to die young and humiliated because I felt like I had no control over my body whatsoever. I was seeing a nutritionist and a PCOS specialist and they were at a loss for how to help me. Now, 1 year later, 101 pounds are simply... gone. What an amazing life this is!
