  1. I started drinking at 2 months post op.

I know this is a little early but it is hard because a lot of your social life is going out to eat/grabbing a drink.

I couldn't physically sit down and eat a whole meal but sometimes unwinding with a few friends and drink is good for the soul.

I was very cautious about what I was drinking though- I didn't want to drink the empty calories, carbs and suffer later by not losing weight.

So I invited friends over to my place- I bought Tito's vodka (which is less than half the calories [60] of other regular vodkas] and also bought Diet Cranberry juice- which i believe had 3g carbs and a lot less of everything else and very low calorie.

I drank 2 of these and felt great. No stomach pain/ didn't bother my stomach/ and had a good buzz- wasn't **** faced.

I think you need to follow your body's signals when it comes to certain things and not be so hard on yourself.

thank you! When did your doctor give you the OK to drink again? And buy two drinks you mean a shot of the vodka in each?

  2. Totally normal. I'm about two and a half months out now. I remember that first month. Second guessing myself all the time and mood swings galore. You'll get in a routine and it will all get easier as time goes along.

    thank you

I'm 7 weeks post op today and started solids last week and i have not gotten sick or nauseous at all. I think my surgeon made me a stomach of steel! Keep monitoring your Protein so you get enough and you know where you're at for your daily intake.

thanks a lot I'm glad I'm not the only one

  3. You haven't stretched anything. Your new stomach is very numb. Measure your portions and stick

to your diet. You'll be just fine promise ????

    thank you

Some of us have tummy's of steel and don't get sick. Like the previous poster said, measure everything and stick to your program. You should be fine.

    thank you

  4. I am just over two weeks post op and I question my self on everything I do people tell me I look like I'm loosing weight but I don't feel it I think I'm just having a bad day but I doubt my self everyday. Am I exercising enough? Am I eating to much? Am I drinking to little? Why haven't I experienced any nausea shifting to the puréed diet I don't get sick on anything I eat? Am I the only one who feels this way?

  5. Hello everyone I am a little over 2weeks post op. MY surgery date was july 14th and ever since the day I came home from the hospital I've questioned everything I've done. I'm now on the puréed stage and I'm feeling like I'm stretching my stomach And I haven't ran in to anything that make me sick. I don't know if thats a good or a bad thing is any one else feeling like this?

  7. Im 18 and i had my sleeve on june 29 2015, i didn't had problems with the liquid diet, my problema is that sometimes i get depressed but i have lost 35 pounds since my surgery so that makes me happy.

congratulations on your weight loss, I get depressed too. But I know all this will be worth it... why do you think you get depressed
Well because food is always there birthdays, holidays, etc... And now i wont be able to eat that much. I hope it gets natural so i can be more happy, but i now also now that food and a bad life style got my obese and with this tool i would be able to enjoy more things than just food.
yeah I feel the same way sometimes that's why I'm having a hard time with the liquid diet because I just wanna chew things
what do you think is different about teens having this kind of surgery i mean hoy is life going to be for us?
well I mean everyone I know who is older and had this surgery have lived in their twenties and have a care free life. Ours will be a lot less care free social experiencenes will be different we can occasionally indulge but won't be able to pig out our potential night life will be affected as far as alcohol and because we are younger we hopefully will have more years to maintain this new healthy life because old habits die hard... what was your starting weight

  10. Hey everyone one. Tomorrow will make one week post op and although I've a lot of support around me I'm feeling very alone. Anyone I personally know who has had this surgery are in their thirties or so and I have a hard time relating to them because of the age difference. Im extremely thankful for this tool and am ready to live the healthy life Ive always wanted to have, however this liquid diet is extremely hard even though I get full I just want to chew something. Does anyone have any tips on what they did?
