Worst case would be doing it over and if you do just keep positive and know it's worth it. It stinks I know but hopefully they will get it together and be done! Good luck!

Unfortunately you have to be your own advocate. You need to know your insurance beforehand and follow their requirements to the letter. If your policy states you have to have the weigh-ins and do face to face then you will probably have to start over. Sorry to hear you have been spinning your wheels so to speak.
You can call your insurance and ask for a copy of the coverage for WLS and then you will know what is required if your surgery center doesn't.
    Good luck!!

Thank you scarlet! That's exactly how I feel...
Wow that's really great Michelle! I'm kinda looking forward to going to Cali I need some of those beaches in my life right now. I'm going with my husband and we haven't had a honeymoon or vacation since we got married. As soon as we got married my mum was diagnosed and we took her in to care for her. So this will be our time to enjoy ourselves for a little bit. We're going 4-5 days ahead of the surgery. I'm on my phone now and the site looks different so when I figure it our in my pad I would love to inbox my number to those of you closer to me! I'm not afraid to meet up one day either! We can maybe do a girls day of sharing tips, foods, Vitamins etc...

thank you so much for that welcome. I'm so thankful for people with understanding. Your husband sounds like mine he quietly worries. Yes, that's what I'm trying to do now, take care of me. After watching my mum suffer and die I realized I don't have the luxury of not taking care of myself any more. She was still here when I started my research and talking to my doctor, and she always told me "please lose the weight" . She wasn't being mean she was concerned and then she ultimately passed away from not doing that for herself. I'm almost in tears just thinking about everything. I'm sorry if I'm typing slow again please be patient. I'll do my best to respond. I'm so happy for all of you who are on this journey also! I can't put into words what it means to know I'm not alone in feeling nervous etc...

Thank you for checking in, I am actually doing pretty good. I still have a little Fluid on my lung but my body should absorb that. I am also still on the tube feedings but I have started being able to eat and drink a little bit, so hopefully I won't need the feedings too much longer. This has been such a long journey, I just pray that I am finally on the road to recovery. Thank you so much for your support and words of encouragement through this.

Welcome @peanutbutterlady. I too am new to this. I just got my surgery date this morning - September 8. Though my husband is supportive, I wish he was half as excited as I am right now. I am blessed with one best friend who is very supportive and another who like yours is NO WAY!!!!
Be true to yourself and don't be afraid to reach out to folks on this forum. The people on this site really do care, are genuine and sincere. I am excited for all who are making this journey because they want to better themselves through healthier living. Best wishes to you and let me know if I can be of any help and further support to you.

    Hi PBlady,
I am new to the forums too. I have found a tremendous amount of information and support here from presurgical people, to post surgical.
My surgery is scheduled for September 9, 2015. I am excited and nervous, it is to be expected. My husband is supportive and I know he is concerned, he has a very hard time putting his thoughts into "correct" words.
If you don't mind me asking, why are you traveling to L.A. for your surgery? That is a long haul.
Keep reading all the information you can, make friends and connect, it really does make a difference.

I had my sleeve done 1 week ago today at Norwood Hospital by Dr. Adam Glasgow. I can't say enough good things about both Dr. Glasgow and his staff at SWLS in Walpole or the great folks at Norwood Hospital. One week out I am driving, working in the yard, and gong for long walks; I feel great. It took time but I am getting in more than 64 oz. of h2O at least 80 g. of Protein and my multi-Vitamin (good size capsule), my omeprazole (smaller capsule), my Calcium chews, and 2 B-12 lozenges without any difficulty I have more energy and less joint pain than I have had in years. I am really excited and can't wait to really start working.
Wishing all a healthy and contented day
    Jay

I'm loading up on liquid silica via Diatomaceous Earth mixed in water/juice now and will keep it as part of my Water intake. I am natural and have a massive amount of thick unruly hair. When I reach goal, I will probably cut it all off and start with a funky new do...short on the sides more on top...dyed honey blonde or cinnamon brown. Lol
Losing weight & ya hair can be a bit overwhelming. Lol but it's our bodies way of shedding...
