    I found a good protein!

I just ordered the premier bars from SAMs Club. I'm not a member but it let me order anyways. I checked out Amazon and SAMs club was much cheaper. I'm excited. I'm having trouble getting to my Protein numbers so the bars will help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I found a good protein!

Thanks! @@claddagh66 I really love the Choc and vanilla premier Protein. I get it at costco for 24.99 for 18. That is only a few cents a piece cheaper than Sam's. I'll look at the Protein Bars. I'm a little afraid since they are cookie/candy like. I don't want to go down that slippery slope again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We were fat. We maybe still are fat. It's a process. It sounds to me like she was kind to you when you were larger. She knows you've lost a lot of weight and yet you are still large. Might be she is trying to reconcile in her head just how large you once were. We really have to try and not be thin skinned about the truth of our size. Most people are not cruel. The ones who are need a kick in the ass. She wasn't being cruel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where did you get your great price on Premier Protein? Was it a case of 18? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You are welcome. At this stage in my life I knew I didn't need the 6 month diet and support groups and meetings with therapists. His streamlined approach was just what I needed. The office follow through was terrible but I'm a get it done kind of person so my follow through streamlined things with them. They were all nice, just not as professional as I would have expected at times.
  10. I am 3 months out. At 3 weeks I felt the same way. I wasn't hungry though. I was told by a kind BPer that as soon as I was able to eat real food I wouldn't be able to do much. It was true. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I started going to the Y for sit and fit ( uses weights and hand sized balls. (Much harder than it looks). I'm 65 and usually the youngest in the class. There are 94 year olds and disabled people who show up daily. I do it 2 days a week and Aqua 3 days a week. I figure if they can show up I have no excuses. I had a cold today and went anyways. I've decided it's my new "job". I use bigger weights than some members and it is a real workout. I dry off after the pool, wrap up in my oversized terry robe and go home to take a bath. I'm not hating it anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Trying not to be angry

My Mom was always tiny. I had a body not like hers. At some point I told her that the friends and daughter who love me don't ever mention my size. I told her I would appreciate it if she wouldn't either. A year or so later I lost 40 lbs and when I visited she never mentioned it. My daughter reminded me that I told her not to talk about my weight. Lol. Just remember that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Daily Meal Ideas for WLS 8+ Months Out

Great post! I'm 65 and 3 months post op sleeve. I've lost 50 lbs and feel great. Nice to see someone my age with such great success. It is hard to find a groove when the Drs office won't give me carb/cal/protein breakdowns. My follow ups have been with 3 different assistants with totally different ideas. I know it depends on activity levels, age, gender etc. thanks for the clarity! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm retired so it wasn't a factor. I felt really good after surgery. 4-5 days of discomfort. I don't really know what to tell you about back to work. At this point in my life that is such a foreign concept. I really put a lot of energy into just getting in my fluids and then Soups, Protein drinks. It seemed like a full time job. You do what you have to do. I definitely did not feel like an invalid and after the first few days didn't nap at all. Actually after surgery I wake up refreshed between 8-9 every morning. I was always groggy in the morning. This was a nice surprise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Purée Diet - I'm so lost

Corned beef hash!! Thanks for that. That sounds like something I would like to try with an over easy egg and some salsa. I'll break up the can I to tiny potions and freeze them for another time. I'm excited to have this soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Your sleeve reacted to too much too fast. Three scallops isn't going to break anything. I just went for my 3 month follow up appt with the surgeons office and have been cleared to eat anything. At 6 weeks I was still on puréed and soft foods. Scallops aren't soft and flaky like fish so they would be harder to break down even if you had chewed them a lot. Take it slow and easy. There is no rush. At 6 weeks I went to a Christmas party at Olive Garden and the chef was kind enough to purée the minestrone Soup for me. It was delicious and I took home 1-2 more meals as leftovers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Husband left me!

Good Riddance! I'm single and have done this all on my own without a hitch. Don't let him bring his nasty attitude around you! You need to be clear headed and focused on your new rules. We are all here and between BP and your Drs office you have got this handled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used Dr Feiz but didn't do my endoscopy through them. My research on Dr Feiz made me feel he was very qualified. I had no problems at all with the surgery. Mine was done in a surgical center. The coordination and organization of the office itself leaves a lot to be desired. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    EXERCISE CHALLENGE ROUND 2!

  25. I think it's very doable. I love premier Protein ( Choc and vanilla) drinks from costco and would take enough for 2 a day. Olive Garden was kind enough to purée my minestrone Soup for me during my liquid stage. Enough for 2-3 meals. sugar free pudding and Jello. I bought from Amazon GENEPRO Powdered Protien. You can add it to Soups, drinks etc. Just take a small jar of it with you to up your protein. Just follow your Drs rules and don't get caught up in the food. Have fun!
