  2. I am so afraid of losing my hair that there is no way I won't take my vitamins. I hear ya on the protein shakes as I am sick of drinking isopure protein drinks. I know I need them but man.......
  3. No, sweetheart. It will be ok! Do not be so hard on yourself. You did something you feel was wrong, now learn from it and move on . We all slip up and I will tell you I did worse than you!!!!! If it will make you feel better, go walk for 20-30 minutes !!
  4. I had a total of the lovenex (sp) shots. My last was the day I drove home five hours. I was told by my doc to get out and walk for ten min every hour and I did.
  5. That is so incredible! Be proud my man!!!!! Great job!!!
  6. I found it is so much of a mind set. I did pretty well on my liquid pre op diet but I did cheat. Once I saw it wasn't going to kill me I handled it pretty well. I never did think I was starving. Now post op and eating cream of wheat, dressing, yogurt, mashed taters. I'm glad thanksgiving is over. Now I can concentrate on low carbs and high protein and do what I'm supposed to do.
  7. Sajijoma so sorry!!!! I hope you are all well now.
  8. Isn't it wonderful! I love getting to ask questions of those with first hand experience . Everyone is so supportive. This place has helped me so much!
  9. You never crushed? I swallowed mine today and had no problem at all. I'm sure my doc won't be happy but I am ????
  10. Thanks y'all!!!!!!! Right, extended release pills should not be crushed.
  11. Meganliz0824, I feel ya man. I am 10 days post op and for four days I have stepped forward a week and have been having yogurt and cream of wheat. I am supposed to still be on Clear Liquids. I am thinking that since I tolerate it it's ok. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. I just wasn't satisfied and was hungry. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts. I have felt great through this whole process I am sick of isopure drinks. I have also had premier Protein shakes and not supposed to yet. I don't know the answer and I really don't want to screw this up. Liamnatx, thanks for the great ideas!!!!
  12. Angrybanana you make me laugh too!!! Thank you. Great job man! Sounds like you are really disciplined! Do any of you take pills? Swallow whole or crush?
  13. Please explain what FitPal is. Lord knows I need accountability! I am 10 days post op. Thanks!!!
  14. Good lord atontor!!! That is fabulous! Did you exercise? Why kinds of things and how much did you eat, generally? Boy, you really motivate me! Thank you! Also, did you swallow or crush pills?
  15. Does anyone swallow medication pills whole? Does anyone crush? I have been crushing and it is so gross. Just don't know if I'm up for that gross taste today. Have some of you always swallowed pills whole? I am 10 days post op.
  16. I am supposed to still be on liquids. I have been having yogurt and cream of wheat. Is the liquid diet now for healing and tolerance? I have tolerated everything very well and am sick of drinking isopure for protein.
  17. Good job on weight loss! Yes it is the toughest part of the whole process.
  18. The same thing happened to me! My insurance approved one night but since I lived five hours away I decided to stay another night. I have not heard from insurance but feel they will pay. I hope I am right Good luck to you.
  19. Astrosgirl, how are you doing??? How much have you lost since surgery, if you don't mind me asking...... I am 9 days post op and feel like I am weeks ahead. I am supposed to be on liquid diet still and had some mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie (a little) and I feel great. Had some cream of wheat this morning. What was your diet weeks one and two post op?
  20. Jazzys, yes, we emailed each other I am currently looking for support groups in this area. I had mostly premier protein drinks from Walmart. My doc office has since said many of their clients have issues with Premier. Even my NUT recommended it. I had no trouble with it at all and I bought them at Walmart.
  21. I may have been a little emotional before surgery but I have read that many get emotional before and after. I think it is very normal
  22. It was discovered I had h pyloric bacteria when I had my EGD. I was scared to death surgery would have to be postponed but it wasn't. Doc just put me on strong antibiotics
  23. I have had two csection a and I can kind of compare to that. Not pain wise, but the uncomfortableness of getting up and down. I guess it was a little painful, maybe a 3, but it is totally do-able. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of pain, or should I say non pain. I was on a morphine pump too. I kept that sucker going so I could stay ahead of the pain.... A trick I have learned from knee surgeries. I stopped morphine on my own. The pain I had was completely tolerable.
  24. You can do it! I am still on my post op liquids. It will be tough but I know you and I both can do it!!!!!!!! Congrats and good luck with your journey!
  25. Great!! Congrats!! Good luck with your journey
