Infection found in pre-op testing

Hi guys,

I'm two weeks out from my surgery date (which I think will now be pushed back) My ekg & chest X-ray came back perfectly fine. However my blood work, specifically my cbc/white blood count came back 11.3 (slightly elevated) avg is about 10.8. This indicates some sort of infection and my pcp will not clear me unless I get rid of this mysterious infection. I say mysterious because my pcp has yet to uncover where or what is causing the infection. Have any of you experienced this? If so what was the outcome?

It was discovered I had h pyloric bacteria when I had my EGD. I was scared to death surgery would have to be postponed but it wasn't. Doc just put me on strong antibiotics
