  1. i stayed two nights at hospital. i would recommend that someone stay with you at least one night, and take it from there. i felt pretty darn good, but was groggy from morphine. you just have to take it easy the first couple of days.
  2. i use the prescription nascobol nasal spray for B12. it works great. i tried some liquid under the tongue B12 and it didnt seem to help much. with the nasal spray i get my Vitamins, chewable. calcium, Iron, and multi Vitamin. my doc says they are great vitamins. they are mailed to me every month. nasal spray is once a week. it costs $25. however, i have met my out of pocket max so it costs me nothing. nothing costs me anything now until september 1 :)

    <sigh> I gave in....

Oh my goodness! If that is the worst you do then you are going to have great success!!!!! You will anyway . Not that big of a deal. Just not something you want to do all the time though. Don't be hard on yourself, just learn and keep your goals in sight.

@@Valentina I love you!!! I have a passion for dogs. Not showing, but loving on them, playing with them, spoiling them. I have always wanted a standard poodle. Now I want a labradoodle. Of course I have too many pets now to get one. My mom and aunt went to the Westminster show last year!!!!!! Took a trip to NY. We all love dogs. Oh ya. I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I love YU darvish and of course A rod. @ I am so excited for you!!!!

@ it is so much fun. i played for years. talk about a workout!!!! omg, sweat, sweat. the times that i have played the last couple of years have left me breathless, literally haha. i would play one game then have to sit out the next. you should play!!!
  14. i just had an appointment with my surgeon last week. i am 50 and have horrible knees. arthritis, bone spurs, swiss cheese meniscus, degeneration, you name it. he does not want me taking nsaids but said i could if pain got bad. he said to be sure something was on my stomach. fyi...... i was hell bent on lap band. i, too, did not want anything permanent. the more i read, the more negative things i kept seeing. my best friend has it and has had no problem at all. my biggest fear through this whole thing is being nauseated and/or throwing up. i did a lot of research on lap band. i started thinking about the sleeve in the back of my mind. when i went to my docs seminar, there was a lady there who had gotten the band a few years ago, and was there to switch to sleeve. she told her story about after getting the band, that she would throw up about 10 times almost every day. that sentence screamed at me. with that and everything else i had read, i made the decision that the lap band was not for me. also, i live five hours away from my doc and did not want the inconvenience of having to get the fills. i know it works wonderfully for many people. you just need to read and research and keep reading and researching. only you can make your decision. the sleeve surgery was the easiest surgery i have every had. i have, not one single time, been nauseated since surgery. i have actually felt great the entire time, except when i had fever in the hospital. good luck on your journey!!!

    Hobbies?

my hobbies are quite different from the above. i love sports and animals i have always been a dog person. have always had them and loved them. a few years ago, my son brought home a stray cat. we have always taken care of strays and found homes for them. unbeknownst to us, she was pregnant. from the day they were born, i handled them and loved them. played with them every single day. when they opened their eyes and started roaming around, it was over for me. she had 7!!! when the time came to give them away, i knew it would be hard. we gave three away, and i cried and cried. it broke my heart. my husband and i thought about it, and although it is crazy, we kept the other 4. they are 2 years and 4 months old. we found the yellow male, named nemo, run over close to our house. it was the day after christmas last year. we were devastated. my black boy, roadie, has not come home in three days. we bring them in at night because there are coyotes that come around. we could not find him sunday night. no sign of him. ugh. i have always loved horses. i love riding. i started jumping when i was 29 until i became pregnant and stopped. i am ready to move to the country again and own horses and ride again. i love the NFL. i play fantasy football and love it. my favorite sport to play is racquetball. i started at 18 and played until i was 32. after having my two boys, i did not go back. my husband and i both played. we played in tournaments all over texas. he started back 3 years ago and i have played a few times since then. i hurt my shoulder in september playing and am getting steroid shot tomorrow. hopefully that fixes me up. i want to start playing again.

    Struggling with forgiveness horse related

I'm sorry that happened. Horses are expensive and a lot of work. It bothers me that she didn't help you with yours, feeding, cleaning after rides. Not to mention the expense. I don't understand her not helping when you needed it, then rescued one. Maybe she rescued it using her heart not her mind and made a hurried decision. That is still no justification. My suggestion is to not make a decision today. Sit on it a couple of days then go with your heart. Sometimes I forgive and forget, I just get over it and feel ok about it. Sometimes I don't. If that's the case I go with my feelings. Then I would be through riding with her. Have you thought of calling her and saying "there is something bothering me. I asked you to blah blah and you said no, and now you have blah blah and it really hurt my feelings?" After talking to her you will probably have a clear picture of what you want to do.
  18. I had to ditch new whey protein because only 4% is absorbed. Has a pdcaas ranking of 100 (compared to new whey which had 4). Does anyone know anything about Yes Whey? I assume the label is correct and it is good for my protein goal, but I assumed the same for new whey.
  19. Right!!!!! I just don't want to use it as a large dose of daily protein if it's not what I think it is. New whey does not say it is collagen protein.

    Losing my hair

@@amh13 I fear it too. 10 weeks out and I'm losing it. Not a horrible amount but more than normal. Girl, you better get that protein in! You WILL lose hair if you don't get enough. Protein is the most important part as far as hair loss. With that being said, even getting enough protein may not stop it. I get enough of it .
  22. I had a little bit of acne issues, even at 50 years old. Could keep it under control with a good acne face cleanser. Now my skin is very dry, even my face. I have to exfoliate often. So it is better, yes. I might add I am not drinking enough water.
  23. @ i suggest you find out exactly what medicare requires, too, so that maybe you can meet their requirements during this 3/6 month period. kill two birds with one stone so to say. good luck to you! there is tons of information on this site.
