I ran across this article today. I was interested because I had my endoscopy at Forest Park, but my surgery was moved from there. Thank goodness my doctor was not named in the article!!! A doctor I see on this site is name, however.

Just curious.. was your sister on Multivitamin with iron after surgery? I guess I'm just wondering if I should start some iron now.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using the BariatricPal App
I do not iknow if she was. I think so, but just dont remember. YOU need to get on them now if you are not already!!!!
I get mine from a a company that has prescription B12 nose spray, and it is done weekly. They give you a multi Vitamin, calcium/D Vitamins with it. It costs $25 a month and they are excellent Vitamins. You can get pills or chewable. You can google Nascobal. That is the nose spray.
I started my Vitamin regimen before I even had surgery.

oh my gosh. it was horrible. as a matter of fact, her bloodwork is all good now and she is still extremely fatigued. infusions were about 8 months ago. now she has headaches every day. we dont really think it has anything to do with her Iron or surgery now, we just dont have a clue what is causing all this.

i take a pill daily that if not taken makes me sick!!!!!!!!! the withdrawal effect is awful. i was allowed to crush my pill and take it so i never missed a dose. i will say i could only handle the crushed pills about a week; the taste is awful. i, then, started taking them whole and had no issue. they were not huge.
-
That is very normal. I started with 30 g of Protein then gradually went up. 100 daily now. Just stay hydrated and get as much protein as you can but know it is not anywhere close to your top amount.

I always do and there is no issue, however I have been told recently that it may create wrinkles!!!!!

Doc told me carbonation will stretch the sleeve.

I started have my Hair loss at 8 weeks out. I panicked. It kept falling and falling. I started using nioxin and a hair Protein by morracan oil, hair repair treatment. Used about a month to 6 weeks. After four months of hair loss it just stopped one day. I starting using the items above about 6 weeks before it stopped. Not sure if it helped or if it was just time. Now I have all my hair back.
I always tease my hair for volume anyway and no one even noticed at all. I would tell them I was losing hair and they couldn't believe it. I could tell though. I lost some completely by my face, like I had a receding hairline, bald spots. It has all grown back.
It is VERY worth it and it will grow back. Just start loving your new body!!!

You can do this. You WILL do this!!!!!! Keep at it

Hate to tell ya but I think your 3 lb gain may have got you. Call insurance and check before you spend more money. Your nutritionist should know. Your policy may be different than mine.
Nut 'monitored' exercise as well, and diet.
-
Yes. The 90 days starts and ends with nutritionist. It actually ends up being 4 visits.
-
I am not clear. Did you gain from visit one to visit two? Or after visit two and before visit three? I HIGHLY recommend you do not see nutritionist until you have lost the three pounds. I would lose 3.5 to be safe. Also, some nutritionists let you do appointments by phone. That is very safe if you know what I mean.
-
I have Aetna. They went by weight according to first nutritionist visit. If I gained any weight at all they would not approve surgery. Read fine details in the policy online. Talk to doctor and nutritionist and find out exactly what policy says. That is what matters, period.

My Hair loss start at 8 weeks and finished 4 months later, which was one month ago. I was really concerned that I was going to have bald spots. It was all frustrating and very scary. It turned out ok. I personally think if you are getting all your Protein their is nothing to prevent hair loss. I did start using nioxin 6 weeks prior to it ending. I am not sure if that helped or if it was it time. You will survive and it will grow back.

Was sleeved in November '15.

also, i still get my roots done. i am not going to walk around with grey roots. i would rather wear a wig.

i am having really bad hair loss. it started at 8 weeks out and i am now 5 months out. it is not slowing down at all. i started using nioxin consistently a couple of weeks ago but i feel if your hair is going to fall out it is just going to fall out. i get in 100 g Protein a day so it is not a lack of Protein. if i have to do this 4 more months then i will be in a wig i am sure. it is worth it though, the weight loss is awesome and diabetes is gone.

I have not been on here for several years. I apologize if this is the wrong spot. I had sleeve 5 years ago and lost 40 lbs. I started at 224. I am currently 212 and have gained 13 pounds since late October. I think I know the answers but looking for help and tips. How do I lose again?
